I don’t normally leave reviews but this one deserved it. I asked the waitress to upgrade my rice to a fried rice. She said it’s an additional $3 charge although the menu clearly states that “any changes is an additional $2.” When I received my order, I asked if this was fried rice and she said yes. It looked no different that any of my friends orders and definitely didn’t look like fried rice. I was confused because I asked her what the additional $3 was for? She said that they fried the rice in a pan. She even got another individual, maybe a manager, to try and defend that the rice is different because they fried it in a pan? For an additional $3 to toss white rice and fry it in a pan?! Poor demeanour all around and they proceeded to degrade me by asking my friend to taste both orders to “taste the difference” to which my friend said they still take the exact same. Their “fried” rice is literally just tossed in a pan and they’ll charge you extra for it. Be careful when you order here. I just laughed it off and said they need to change their menu. Images provided was the “fried” rice given to me versus the “fried rice” I was expecting. My mind is still trying to fathom this information.

It's my first time trying this Pho place out and the food was alright. We ordered the pho with beef brisket, tendon and noodles and also vermicelli with grilled beef wrapped in mint leaves and a shrimp paste covered sugar cane stick. The beef noodle broth was ok and they provided a tiny plate of bean sprouts and a sprig of Thai basil leaves. However, there was only 3 bits of tendon, the beef brisket was sliced paper thin and it felt as if I was drinking more soup. Also I found a small piece of tripe floating in my broth. The vermicelli with grilled beef dish was ok but the only down side was the shrimp wrapped around a stick of sugar cane had no flavour and looked like it was just flour mixed with orange colouring. Also they slapped on a 10% service charge which was a bit sad as it referred in the menu that this was due to the hike in food prices. But honestly, I am willing to pay the 10% charge and tips only if the food was good but unfortunately it wasn't that great and I've had gone to alot of pho places recently.

It could be that I'm used to portion sizes from Pho places downtown, or maybe their other location on Kennedy gave me more food, but I found my serving size lacking. Don't get me wrong, I still felt full by the end (maybe because I drank all the broth?). However, the food wasn't a lot and definitely wasn't what I'm used to for Pho Vietnam. There were only two pieces of meatball (actually it was 1.5 after I got a closer look at it), and a few slices of rare beef. There was also very little tripe. Take a look at the pictures I've posted and judge for yourself. The worse part? They mixed the sriracha and oyster sauce in one very small container. I couldn't control the amount of each and I'm the kind of eater who sometimes likes to change the flavour of each bite. Two seperate containers for each is appreciated and, in this case, expected. The food was still tasty so they get a passing review. Or maybe I was just that hungry.

Tldr: good variety of viet dishes, pho broth tastes clean, decent price and good portions. Inconsistent freshness of ingredients and meat, terrible service

Come here from time to time for my pho cravings. Like many other viet joints, this place also has a wide variety of vermicelli, pho, and rice dishes. Vegetarian options are available here as well.

What i like about the pho here is that the broth tastes a little bit more cleaner than other places. It doesn't leave a oily/fatty feel in your mouth after slurping some noodles. I personally enjoy the chewier texture in noodles, so i usually opt for the dry noodles for my pho. The price for the pho is decently priced and the portions are pretty good too. The spring rolls here are decent as well, but on the pricier end.

The reason why i only come here occasionally is because i think the freshness of the ingredients are debatable at times. There was one time when i ordered the pho, the raw beef had a shiny dark blue tinge to it, and the overall colour of the beef was kind of grey. Now i understand that this might be some sort of chemical reaction that occurs naturally with the beef, and that it's still safe to eat. However, this also probably means how they store meat is not the greatest. Just observing an awkward colour on food that's not usually there really deterred an enjoyable dining experience for me.

The service here is sub-par as well. The waiters are pretty rude and apathetic.Your food does come pretty quick (if you get the pho, rice takes longer), though i feel very rushed every time i eat here. On my last visit here with my friends, the moment we sat down the waiter asked us if we were ready to order... Like...Homie. You literally just saw us sitting down. Give us some time to decide what we want??

Overall, i would say this place is just ok. The food is not bad, but the service really changes the game. If you do decide to come here, don't expect much from...

Pros: Decent Pho at a good price Lots of parking available

Cons: Tables bunched too close to each other

Pho is one of my family's go to's so we're always trying out new Pho places. Pho Vietnam is located at the back of a new plaza strip. Because of the size of the plaza, there is ample parking available no matter the time of day.

Pho Vietnam has a good variety of items in their menu. When it comes to pho, there's about 15-20 different ones to choose from. I prefer to choose your own pho, but there are enough combinations to satisfy most patrons. The prices are pretty standard when it comes to Pho places.

When we ordered our Pho, the server asked us whether or not we wanted thick or thin noodles. My wife said thin to which the server said go with the thick, it's the better one. I pondered why they would have both if they believe one if superior to the other. Regardless, we took his recommendation and went with the thick one.

The pho here is a pretty decent one. The portions are just about right with what you're paying. The thick noodle was actually a fresh noodle which I really liked as well. Good thing we listened to the server. The spring roll is what you would expect. This place won't wow you, but it gets the job done well.

My only gripe is the seating arrangement. I know restaurants have to have as many seats as possible, but it felt really cramped to me. There was very little space to move around. I thought two tables were with patrons who were together, but they were actually 2 separate pairs. That's how close the seats are at times. When you have kids, having that extra makes all the difference.

Overall, Pho Vietnam is a solid place to get some Pho. It gets pretty busy during peak times but at least Parking is...

We got the around 9PM on a Saturday. First impression, the waiter that lead us to our table looked like he didn't want to be there. The restaurant is in a very busy plaza so kinda surprised it wasn't busy. We placed our orders noticing on the first page there is a minimum charge per person which I've not seen for a very long time. I can understand why in some case as a way to detour table squatters.

We place orders for spring roll appetizer, a rice dish, a bun thit nuong (cold rice noodle salad of sort), and 2 pho. We first get served our spring roll then the rice and bun thit nuong comes. Now, I've been to my far share of pho restaurants and "normally" the pho comes first to the table after the apps as that's kinda ready made toss on some meat and serve kinda dish. But no we waited for a good 20 mins for it. We notice another table that happened to be seated long before we got to the restaurant just being serves their pho. I waved down the not so happy waiter to ask for some napkins (which we had none at the table when we got there nor was it given when we got our spring rolls). I then asked politely to see if the rest of our order was ready. 5 more mins of waiting later the pho was finally served. At that point I believe they forgot the order.

I technically would give 1 star due to the exchange of interaction with the wait staff or in this case the lack of. But the food was Ok. Not the "Asian" OK like it's good to very good or the variation of... But this was simply OK, I'm hungry and the food portion was good and editable kinda way. I've had better bun thit nuong, pho, spring rolls and service. The one good thing that came from this, kid enjoyed their over priced frozen strawberry and...
