Just alright. I love banh mi; like, a lot.
I have eaten traditional to grilled to 'gourmet' banh mi from Banh Mi Boys, Rose's, T&T, Nations, and Ginger's; Banh Mi Nguyen Huong at Spadina and Dundas is my usual go to.
Positive: freshest bread I've ever had on a banh mi, which is a make or break price is reasonable
Negative: homemade pickled carrots are a bit too thick and not cured long enough (no vinegary flavour) no daikon!!? That's a staple! skimpy toppings with cold cuts
I also had the meat cold rolls which were also just okay. Usually I have the shrimp, but the shrimp were very small compared to others I have had.

Read moreIt looks nice but when you bite into it you can taste that it's lacking something. Your usual banh mi usually has the butter/mayo on one side and pate on the other, but they're all lightly spread on one side and you can't taste it. it looks nicely packed but its mainly the pickled carrots that fill it. I dont think this is normal but the meat was really dry and one of the pieces were spoiled when I got through the middle so I had to throw it out.
I hope this was just a one time unlucky occurrence because I really want to believe those 4.3 stars...
