This franchise has it's history for great tasting food, and in my opinion, the food really is GOOD. Prices are good as well as opening and closing time ( if they ever close that is ) which they don't as this place is opened 24hrs...
Update. November 2nd 223. Over the past months, I've been getting SOUR or stale tasting food.. Their cornmeal is the best that I've had. Every now and then, you get it SOUR. This means it's probably from the previous day or days. They store unsold food and resell the next day. Fried dumplings hard as rock amongst nice and soft ones, Sour Porridge, and now jerk chicken poison. Only getting worst.
I'm here writing because i got food from there lastnight, November 1st, 2023, at about 11pm. The jerk chicken meal i got smelled funny when i got home. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and thought maybe it was me.. Fast forward 3 hours, and i was puking my guts out while sitting on the toilet. Diarrhea, in full effect, my body got weak, and that went on into 4am the next day. I was a mess, dying and had to rush to the emergency room. This place should get a visit from public health, i assure you, they will get shut down.
Nasty looking place now, their door way into the cooking area looks so nastily dirty from dirty hands, it probably never gets cleaned, hence the color, i don't know what's going on. Don't sell people food that's gone bad. These people will kill somebody. I'm never gonna buy from this place again. I left my partial of my initial review so everyone knows that im not here to bash this place. I was once all high praise for them... They almost killed me with food that had already gone bad so I'm very dissatisfied.
The worst part is i paid to get sent to the hospital. I hope that they get investigated before they kill someone ( if they haven't ). People need to know that they're at risk eating from this place. I missed work today because I'm still recovering. Actually, I heard one of the servers ratting out the chef to someone ( most likely ownership) on the phone on one of my past visits about lots of cornmeal being in the fridge and that the chef made way too much the previous day.. Yes that was careless of her to not be hiding in the back away from customers to have this convo.
That's about enough of a warning, if you guys wanna keep going there, your call. But I've made my last run there, and it almost cost me my life. Nasty place. They should get a visit from public health. Nobody should have to pay for food that's only gonna damage their health. Selling people food poison, stale food without making sure that the food was store properly and is...
Read moreLast week I came here with a family member who happened to be pregnant. we were already skeptical to order food from this establishment because of the upkeep inside of the store + the Mask-less employees serving. We overlooked that and decided to give the food a chance. We ordered a fish combo with rice, peas and coleslaw. We went back to the car and immediately started eating but we quickly realized, a few bites in that the food was spoiled (The coleslaw specifically ) which was covering the whole meal, The rotten coleslaw really upset my family's stomach so much so that she threw up outside of the restaurant. I brought the food back inside to let them know that the coleslaw was spoiled and we would like to be refunded our 12 dollars.
The employees took the food back and told us they would throw out the coleslaw but they would not refund us. We asked to speak to a manager but they said there was none on duty and that we can have another meal and or store credit. - I told them we would not want to eat here again after the food made my family sick. They phoned the manager to deal with the incident and he gave us the run around for an hour& half saying he would come to the restaurant in 15 minutes to give us a refund until eventually he told us he was coming and we weren't getting a refund. We refused to leave without one and ended up staying and complaining until an employee gave us 12 dollars from their own purse in the back because her manager refused to let her refund us.
The customer service was terrible and the way in which they handled our incident was extremely unprofessional + with the current pandemic in effect all employees should be wearing mask when...
Read moreI should have learned my lesson as my last 3 UberEats orders were incorrect. Wrong beverage, simple enough. Via the Merchant end of the uber platform you can list an item as not being available, a few swipes would solve that problem. Uber also gives merchant the secondary option (if they just realize when an order has come through, that they have run out of something) to notify the customer that the item is unavailable and provide them with secondary choices, or to completely just remove it from the order so there is no issue. But no they send you whatever they want, who cares if you are paying for it. Lazy if you ask me but its not my business to run and given that this is not the first time I should have known better than to give them the opportunity. Now the kicker is on top of giving me the wrong drink, I have now found plastic in my soup. Yummy!!! Now I tried do my due diligence by calling them and saving another potential customer from a choking hazard but guess what... they do not have a working phone number. So here I am essentially writing an essay. What do you know, had I come here and checked the reviews sooner I would never have ordered from them in the beginning. They don't even care to respond to the reviews. Yikes!!! Kind advice spend your money elsewhere!! There are other Sunrise locations providing far better service and better quality...
