Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Toronto

I like Osmo's but have been very disappointed for a second time at the Jane and Bloor location. Once, i bought a large wrap and when i reached home, i noticed while eating that it was filled with 3/4 lettuce and 1/4 chicken. Although, i asked for everything, it was plain, dry and tasteless. I had to throw it away.

Few days later, i went there and report the issue . There were no apology at all.

Second time, few days ago i bought two mixed grill which were not as good as what i have bought there before. The take away was like half full to what i usually get. Was it because i bought TWO? I selected a greek and a ceasar salad. When i reached home, i was surprised to see that there was no Ceasar saladbut rather like a Fattouch salad full of only dry lettuce with few crispy pita. It was a Fattouch salad without tomatoes, cucumber etc. I never asked for a Fattouch salad. Why they gave me just dry lettuce? I have noticed that they were busy talking rather than paying attention to what customers were were ordering . I would not say the food is bad but i would rather say it is lack of attention. It was the same person who served me a dry wrap served me the mixed grill. Knowing what happened to me the last time, i thought he would be careful but unfortunately, i would say he was careless again. Will never eat here again. Went in for some lunch and noticed some large white buckets that said “Chicken Shwarma KEEP REFRIGERATED” that were sitting, un-refrigerated, in the eating area. We ordered, paid, waited, and ate (30-45 mins) and the buckets didn’t move. There appeared to be two staff members on shift, a young man and a young woman. Me and the person who I went to lunch with actually work in food so we mentioned our concerns to the young woman who was sitting down, presumably on their break. She explained that she was pregnant and couldn’t lift- fair enough- that’s reasonable. She also said they were waiting for someone else to come in and carry the chicken to the fridge. However, wouldn’t it make sense for her to serve the customers and the other presumably able-bodied young man to start putting the chicken in the fridge??? I attempted to reach out to Osmows via their texting/ feedback service which apparently doesn’t work so I had no choice but to leave a review. Employees need breaks- thats a priority at every business- but those breaks should not be jeapordizing your customers health by leaving chicken out for god knows how long. This may be the first negative review I’ve ever left but I feel like I owe it to the people of this neighbourhood to warn them not to go. Got two platters and a sandwich for the family. I can only speak to the beyond meat platter which is the one I had. The vegetarian “meat” was extremely over cooked and dry, like rubber. I realize this is common with this type of product but I have had this particular brand elsewhere, it has gained popularity because it is not usually like this. There was also so much ground spice in it that it felt dusty on my tongue. The salad was bland and not dressed, the tomatoes were mealy as if they had bee sliced days ago. There really isn’t any other component to the dish except the rice which was fine I guess. The beef platter looked essentially the same, although drowning in at least half a cup of sauce (I’m not exaggerating). Portions were huge but the leftovers were not worth saving.
