I was there today and as usual had the most wonderful experience. Except for an incident, and to no fault of the restaurant....Unfortunately there was a customer who was being very unkind to the staff. This could have possibly been a mental health issue as she was saying her friend had a bowel movement on the floor and was demanding fresh chicken wings. This customer was not making much sense. The owner came over and tried to kindly deal with this customer the best he could and even offered her a complimentary salad. The lady started accusing him of calling her over weight and fat when the owner was just trying to offer her a solution and tried every attempt to kindly keep her outburst under control. This customer put the staff members in tears when they were very busy trying to accommodate other customers. I've been a customer at this restaurant for several years and this is why I continue to come. They handled this situation today with so much kindness and grace. The food was excellent as usual. I can understand why they have been in business for 30 years. They are just a wonderful family owned business with the biggest hearts and amazing food!! Thank you so much for great service as always and I'm so sorry you have to deal with these issues sometimes but the way the owner and staff dealt with this customer was truly...

Awesome food. I disagree with other posts as to good price points, but I don't mind paying for quality, which they have in spades.

The above isn't my issue. My issue with this restaurant is repeated problems getting our order right with Skip the Dishes. We've had missing or wrong soft drinks ordered. Today, we ordered some breakfast items, and we received someone's else's order, which was more like a lunch menu. The restaurant blames Skip the Dishes. Skip the Dishes blames the restaurant. We don't know who to believe.

To be fair, when we called the restaurant directly with wrong orders, they have graciously comped us a side meal. Nice, but at the end of the day we just wanted what we ordered. We don't want to sit around and wait for a mistake correction, and deal with Skip the Dishes customer service in order to get our money back.

If it wasn't for this repeated problem, I would give them 5 stars.

I’ve recently been into Peter Gs at the Downsview Plaza and have been blown away by this one location only Diner. They have a full breakfast and dinner menu, bar and full dining areas. They are extremely prompt with the food. And the food is typically Canadian from Eggs Florentino to burgers and fries. Very good quality fruit salads and drinks. One side is sports bar the other family dining. The server staff are warm welcoming professional - Natalie, Sam and Alycia - many with ten or more years experience. It’s been said you find the best food in Canada’s older Plazas and that surely rings true at Peter Gs. But more importantly this hidden gem has heart.
