Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Toronto

Good pizza, terrible service.

I have been visiting for years as I live in the area. The pizza is always anywhere from decent to good. The guys who work there though, terrible! There is not an ounce of customer service in them. When you come in to order, they will serve you when they feel like it, even if they are not busy. They just look at you waiting to order without actually taking the order.

My most recent experience here was a few months ago. I walked in for a walk-in special (appropriately). I stood at the counter as the staff stood in a huddle by the ovens (maskless in the middle of a third COVID-19 wave, I must add). I waited and waited for someone to serve me. Nope, they just stood there chatting. Every so often they would look my way, then return to their conversation. Once or twice someone came to the counter to get something, completely ignoring me. Just as I was about to walk out, after close to ten minutes standing there, one of the guys asked if anyone had taken my order. Frustratingly, I told them no, I’d been standing there waiting while they just ignored me. The guy took my order and ten minutes later I got a rushed, mediocre pepperoni pizza...

Been to this location many times in the past and it has been above average. Fast forward to this evening walked in to order a mix and match pizza, basically a bunch of slices in a box. Get the pizza home, open it and find HAIR on two of the slices.

So I jump back in my car and go back to the location and explain to them that there is HAIR in my pizza, Coincidentally not one of the employee are wearing hair nets.. I ask for my money back and they refuse and start yelling a match with me and refuse to give my money back claiming its not there hair...Apparently this is a recent scam where customers order a pizza get it home and find some random hair put it on the pizza and drive back and complain to get there money back.

At this Pizza Nova location the customer is always wrong.. just shut up and eat the hair in the pizza and don't dare complain about it... For reference the guy in the picture is this locations #1 customer service expert that loves to yell at customers...and refused to give me a refund. Pizza Nova ..No Food and $30 less in my wallet seems really fair in...

One day we went to the pizza shop and wanted to buy a pizza. When we were looking at the menu, the staff offered the day’s special which really confused me. Because the price of the daily special he offered was higher than the original price on the menu! I was puzzled so I asked. That guy couldn’t explain but just kept repeating the same thing. Okay whatever we were not interested in that special. We said we wanted a freshly made pizza not the slices sitting (not sure for how long) in the counter. It’s a simple request isn’t it? The guy and the other one back in the kitchen seemed not happy, and said the price of a freshly made pizza would be $42, which was about double of the price on the menu! So we walked out empty handed. We will never go in...
