Poke Sushi — Restaurant in Toronto

Ordered through Uber eats. I got the house poke and spicy Salmon. I loved the fried onion, I was expecting the packaged dry fried onion you usually get for take out, but it was in-house made crispy onion that was so delicious. I feel like a lot of thought and fresh ingredients went into making sure the bowl has the right balance of texture and taste and quantity of each ingredient. Best poke I've had outside of Hawaii. I also got the salmon Maki and California roll. What caught my eye about this place on Uber eats was the salmon Maki called out the seaweed was on the outside.. and I always have to specify this when I order anywhere else ... It's just how salmon Maki should be! The rolls had minimal rice, was the right size, and was very good. The only disappointment was missing wasabi on the side.

For packaging, I appreciate when businesses use paper bowls over plastic, I hope they start using paper containers and eventually stop using styrofoam for all their take out.

They are unprofessional!

I have been ordering from them for almost two months now. However, in my last order, the sushi wasn’t rolled well. All the pieces were literally breaking apart when picked up. We couldn’t even dip them in the sauce. So we got in touch with UberEats and sent them pictures of the order. Uber verified the issue, and gave us a refund. This happened last week.

The night before yesterday, we placed an order on UE for our regulars. The store canceled my order. When I called them asking why (since it was pretty early in the night and they’d close at least two hours later), they said I complained that’s why they wouldn’t be serving us anymore. Like what the heck. I highlighted a genuine issue with their order, and that too to my vendor, not them, but they ended up rejecting our order for this. This is highly unprofessional.

If you don’t want complains, prepare your food right! Had I not complained, I would have been the one at a loss for your carelessness....

Just ordered this sushi and immediately needed to write a review.

So I ordered from here on Uber Eats after midnight so I wasn't expecting much. I've noticed that other sushi places, including my usual/go to places, have gone far down on terms of quality (understandably so with the pandemic). Because of that, I stopped ordering sushi but today I was really craving so decided to order from a new place.

THE SUSHI IS SO FRESH. I was in shock at how fresh it was. I haven't tasted sushi so fresh since before the pandemic. I would have included pictures but it was too good to not dive in immediately. We got the salmon sushi combo (6 pieces of salmon sushi), another sushi combo (9 pieces of sushi and a salmon roll) and a shrimp tempura roll. All of which was VERY reasonably priced and very fresh.

I definitely have a new go-to. Thank you Poke Sushi for not diminishing your quality! As long as you continue that, you definitely have...
