I have a severe shellfish allergy and ordering here almost cost me big time. Their door dash menu is extremely unclear, I ordered a “tempura roll”, due to the lack of description (it literally just says tempura roll”) and the lower price I assumed it was vegetables. I also ordered beef and chicken teriyaki rolls.

First of all, the tempura is SHRIMP. Shellfish is an incredibly common allergen, why was this not labelled as such. I understand that I assumed it was vegetables but frankly I don’t understand why you wouldn’t very specifically list that is shrimp. CHANGE THE LISTING PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES.

Second, god the SMELL. Rotten. Like warm old seafood and meat.

Third, beef was not cooked though. I understand some people like it rare, however teriyaki rolls are typically cooked through.

Fourth, the entire thing was covered in an orange mystery sauce. No idea what it was. It wasn’t teriyaki though. Due to my allergy I didn’t know if it was safe to consume.

Bonus round: the sticky rice looked extremely soggy too. Food poisoning waiting to happen, I’m almost glad I had to throw it all away because it was contaminated with something I’m allergic to.

Now it’s 9:30, I’m starving and had to take preventative antihistamines on an empty...

I’ve gotten the tempura udon here a few times now (both dine-in and take out, I’m obsessed) and I cannot recommend this place enough! $10 for a steaming hot bowl of perfectly cooked udon in flavourful broth, with a large basket of fresh, crispy tempura - what’s not to love? You really can’t beat the value, and the quality is consistently great.

While I’m guilty of having an unhealthy obsession with their tempura udon, many of the friends that I’ve brought here have tried a wide variety of their menu items (ranging from sashimi to their chicken katsu curry on rice) and they’ve always had nothing but positive things to say about the food, regardless of what they order.

And not to mention their service! The staff have always been super friendly and kind, serving us in a timely manner and with great attention to detail (such as coming around often to top up our water or tea without being asked). Additionally, they’ve always offered my friends and I complimentary ice cream at the end of our meal every time I’ve dined in over the past few months (with multiple flavours to choose from)!

I honestly can’t say enough great things about this place. Definitely a hidden gem...

I've been coming here for about 6 years. When I took my family here on the 26th of November around dinner time the whole service was unnecessarily unsettling. The waiter would reach over without sense of personal space. Food was placed close to the edge. When it was time for billing the machine was snatched out of our hands twice. Despite the service we were prepared to tip 10%, $5 cash (pocket change I wanted to get rid of) and $5 through debit. Didn't think I needed to explain before hand to the server what I planned to do. So when we placed $5 tip through the machine the server immediately snatched the machine out of my mom's hand while being told to pay the 10% because that's the minimum tipping and It's "common sense". Common courtesy would have better explained their situation, I agree. However, disputing the tip while grabbing and tossing things at us does not match the purpose of gratuity. I know tipping is common courtesy (we were still prepared to tip) but the treatment and reaction was overall unnecessary I will not be coming back again seeing common sense and common courtesy is only a one way street...

Overall, great sushi and competitive price for AYCE sushi. We came here for lunch AYCE at $17.99. The lunch menu has a decent variety of items, including nigiri, basic rolls, sushi pizza, tempura, appetizers, udon soup, curry rice and ice cream. In general, the sushi was quite good, there may have been a bit too much rice, but the sushi rice was done well and had good flavour. Be careful, as all the sushi, rolls and handrolls are on the larger end for AYCE sizing. The presentation of the sushi was quite good for a normal AYCE location. It appears that all the sushi was prepared by one chef, so fortunately it was not busy when we were there. The seafood salad had a lot of promise, but the pepper taste was too strong and some of the seafood was still very cold. Hand rolls and nigiri sushi were neatly formed, though they had quite a bit of rice. I liked the tamago, it is made in-store and not in a factory. The karaage is highly recommended, but the salmon teriyaki came out slightly overcooked. The deep fried scallop and pork cutlet are also recommended.

Haven't been in a good AYCE sushi restaurant in a while. Prices are fair that it's cheaper than most of the other places, sushi were bigger than I expected, and the staff are nice. I suggest you try something off their sushi roll menu such as crispy roll or super crunch roll. In terms of the other food from their AYCE menu, it's okay that I'll give it a 6/10 as it isn't much different than the ones from Robo Sushi or 168 Sushi Buffet. I liked their salmon only if it didn't have too much sauce on it as it doesn't balance the taste very well. And if you're thinking to come here alone for their AYCE, maybe consider bringing a plus one? So you get to enjoy the food that you order more food to try as they are a bit generous with their servings. If you're not looking to do AYCE, I approve of their beef udon soup and their special rolls.

Ordered the most disappointing, not fresh, poorly constructed Maki rolls I've ever had. I love all sushi. I'm almost a connoisseur. I rarely need to complain. And honestly, a meal would have to be truly terrible for me to comment on it and then to also not want to finish it. And this order was. Is. Truly terrible. ...Fails to keep together. Each piece, tightly squashed together to maybe try to keep their shape, falls apart when picking up. Seaweed is somehow both stale and kind of wet at the same time. The rice. Not enough. The fish is almost like a paste and not a nice flavour. Not fishy. But maybe old... = now I don't feel so good... Makes me sad. A very sad Maki order. Oh and their Chicken Curry was 'meh'. Their Yaki Udon was disappointing. And they got an order item wrong. Ordered a Hand Roll got a Maki roll instead.
