Second Cup Café — Restaurant in Toronto

This location is terrible. Firstly, the employees there work slower than snails, even when they see that there's a big lineup. Secondly, it's very disorganized for placing orders, as random people from behind the cash just ask you what you want and if you don't answer in like, 2 seconds, they ignore you and move on to the person behind you. Yesterday, I asked for a seasonal cookie, which I said in a clear, loud voice. However, the girl still got my order wrong, and they had the gall to glare at me rudely when I repeated it to her and let her know that she made a mistake. The cashier then glared at me, and this girl is always the cashier there and just glares at you every time like she either hates you or the world. Everything here is priced much higher than its value. I don't mind paying more for drinks if they are made well, and I don't mind waiting in line for 10-15 minutes, but to do that all to receive a poorly made drink with poor customer service? I've tried multiple drinks from this Second Cup. No matter what I order, it always seems to be poorly mixed and somehow made with a different consistency every time. Many of the workers barely interact with customers, save for the rare few who smile and greet me.

Thing is, the other Second Cups on campus seem to have better service than this one. I'm not sure if it's because it's constantly busy here or simply because they are not trained well enough, but if you have the choice, please don't order here. Save yourself...

I have come here many times over three years as I frequently have classes in Sidney Smith. The convenience has never justified the quality or price of the product. Many times the staff have been rude, mixing up orders, not vocalizing when orders have been completed and mixing up people’s drinks. I have been a barista and the staff seem completely untrained to make the types of drinks they are serving. The espresso is regularly burnt, as is the milk, and the matcha is mixed poorly if at all. I ordered an iced matcha latte last week and had so many chunks of matcha powder in the drink that I was chewing it. I will not be giving my money to Second Cup going forward, as they seem to have a lack of regard for training and...
