This location has pretty good burgers that are fairly large on the pricier side. However, there are some downsides to this location as well. Something that was off putting was the lack of hairnets and gloves used by all staff. This is a very small location and all the staff, from the person cooking to the person at the register are at very close proximity. The person who was at the cash register came to pack our food and she was scratching her neck and touching her hair, then she proceeded to grab our food which wasn’t completely sealed with the fries hanging out of the container. Another thing I found very weird was the forced “tip” option on the POS machine. When you’re paying it asks for tip either % or amount, in order to avoid it you have to press “amount” choose $0, then proceed to pay which makes you feel very awkward. A take-out express restaurant shouldn’t even ask for a “tip” as they aren’t doing anything special for you other than taking your order and preparing it. Sure, if they are very pleasant and put a smile on your face then people can tip. However, customers shouldn’t be placed in an uncomfortable position to feel as though they have to pay tip. Overall, tasty burgers but more safety/sanitary precautions should be taken.

I was in the area and randomly stumbled on Shatter Abbas Express. You can't miss the smell of Iranian food, when it hits your nose your best bet is to follow it. Walked in expecting the regular, kabob dishes and not much else. Boy was I wrong they have all my favorites and more, Gormet Sabzi, Kash et Bodemjoon and Gaimeh. I'm not from this area so I had to get everything. The awesome staff also suggested I try the zafron cream pie so I did. I'm home now and pretty much about to go in to a food coma. Everything was so freaking yummy I couldn't stop eating. The rice was soft and freshly made, the meats in the stews were soft and tasty as well, with no gamey taste. The kabobs were so so so delicious with the grilled tomatoes and hot peppers that I loved. The pita they gave for the Bodemjoon was prefect. Everything was just so delicious. If your near here and want to try something new or crave good Iranian food then try this place out. Now I have to figure out a way to go back out to this area again so I can get more.

I eat at Shatter Abbas at least once or twice a week because it is that addictive! The food is delicious, the quality is top notch, and the price is fair for the portion of food you receive. They give you full skewers of joojeh, barg, koobideh, etc. The sandwiches are filled with toppings, and everything is fresh. The burger is one of my favorites, I also love the joojeh wrap, its so hard to choose just one. The staff is super pleasant. They make the experience enjoyable and provide superior customer service. Parsa is helpful with my many questions of which food I should try, Farzad the chef always makes sure the meat is tasting delicious, Roshanak made the best burger for me just last night, and Mahan convinced us to also get the French fries which were so tasty! They made a wonderful experience for us after a stressful day at the office - thanks to everyone for being so caring! Until we see you again next week. Keep up the great work 🙌

I invited some friends to the restaurant located at last Tuesday night. I ordered 3 burgers with mushrooms for an added fee. The Lady behind the counter added very little mushrooms and when I kindly requested more, she refused saying that she had put more then enough. I was shocked to receive such a response, considering I have come many times to this restaurant and I have never had issues. I requested her name so that I could file a complaint with management but she refused. I was quite embarassed considering I had brought friends with me to have an enjoyable dinner and my friends were dismayed by the rudeness and the reluctancy of the young lady to provide the professional service exoected by patrons that come to a restaurant. Nevertheless, I took my burger and we went to the patio. Once we finished, we proceeded outside to our vehicles and were confronted by members in a vehicle that scolded us for requesting the girls name -the young lady obviously called these individuals to threaten us. I explained to the driver that I only requested the name so that I could follow up with management regarding the unpleasant service we received. He proceeded to become violent, luckily we walked away unharmed but I believe people must be aware of this incident before they decide to come and eat at this establishment. I will be sure to never come here again as long as this young lady is working here. As well, as a persian myself, I will discourage others from coming here. A truely...

I see lots of reviews here saying the service is inattentive, the food takes long, and the place is small. This is true however the idiots who wrote the reviews didn't see the "Express" in the name of the place. This is hands down one of the best burgers you will have in Toronto. I've been coming here for over a year now, and have ate dozens of their burgers. (It's right across my house, so it's to tempting to deny)

Their burgers are huge. TIP: don't get a cheeseburger, save $2. Would make it 7.99 for the burger, which is actually a steal for the quality of food you are having.

When you first get in, don't be shy, but be patient. The line system is a bit confusing as it's hard to tell who is trying to order and who is waiting on their order. you just have to approach the cash register, and wait for them to call upon you.

It will take 10-15 mins for them to prepare the food. If you want it instantly, then you can go to McDonald's.

The place is very small so just do take out. It's not a sit down restaurant.

The staff is very friendly, but usually busy and quite focused.

The burger is a gem, as it's amazingly delicious, great tasting halal meat, fresh ingredients and a very fair price. Kabob and other Persian food is very good, but a bit more expensive. However for the cuisine you are eating that is expected.

Overall love this place and if you like burgers, I highly recommend getting one from...

Honestly, the whole experience was worth it. Let me explain: I had originally ordered through a delivery app that had erroneously listed Shatter Abbas as part of their restaurants. Unfortunately for me, that wasn't the case and my order had to be cancelled. It was frustrating at first however the restaurant staff called me back personally and worked with me to honour my order (I had ordered it the previous evening for my family Easter celebration gathering). As they had no delivery personnel, I agreed to pick it up; they were very kind, apologetic for my initial experience (through no fault of their own) and very generous with my order. Top class and they truly cater to their clientele. I haven't even begun to rave about their cuisine! I ordered platters #1 & 2 : Succulent and savoury grilled beef tenderloin, chicken breast and koobideh skewers, with aromatic saffron rice, perfectly garnished with grilled tomatoes, onions and green chilli peppers. Chef's kiss. Yes it is a business looking out for itself, however they embody Middle Eastern culture of hospitality, friendliness and empathy making it also Canadian . Thank you to all the staff at Shatter Abbas at 804 Sheppard Ave. East. You helped my family enjoy our Easter Celebration with good food and a good story....
