SMASH BURGER — Restaurant in Toronto

If you are ordering from uber eats it might be fine? But the phone number listed here is incorrect and I would not recommend ordering pick up from here.

The phone number listed on Google is actually Georgy Porgy's number. (Google 'Georgy Porgy Scarborough' and you'll see that it has the same phone number and address). This caused a lot of confusion.

We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and 2 fries. My fiance picked up the order and came home with 2 charbroiled burgers and 2 cartons of pub-style fries. It was nothing like the smash burgers and waffle fries that were advertised. In addition, he wasted time driving around the plaza trying to find Smash Burger, which doesn't seem to exist (before calling the number and finding out that it was actually Georgy Porgy's number?)

We were charged $50 for 2 burgers + 2 fries, which is more than double the price on the Smash Burger menu. We don't like charbroiled-style burgers or pub fries (nothing against them, it's just not our taste and was typical bar food). It was really disappointing to pay more than double for something so different than what we thought we were getting. I hope the owner fixes this; I think it'd be better to not list a number than to list a false one as it could be really misleading for...

After eating here, my fiancé and I feel completely ripped off. We got their smashed burgers, deep fried pickles, and a couple drinks to go. The smashed burgers kind of pathetically bad. Overcooked, under seasoned, and served on what tasted like wonder buns. Not something you'd expect for 14$. The deep fried pickles were limp and soggy (also no sauce for the pickles). The server even forgot the drinks and let us leave the establishment without them. Look, I get that you're trying to run a business, but if you're going to charge 3.50$ for a can of diet coke, at least remember to put it in the take out bag. Overall, not worth almost 50$. Literally any other fast food spot would be better quality and value than this dogwater.

2 words, Cold and Greasy. I had read the previous reviews and although most were great I did come across a few mentioning cold food upon arrival! 🥶 The owner is very diligent in pointing the finger at Uber Eat. I agree that Uber Eats lately has allowed their drivers to pick up so many orders it now takes over an hour to arrive. However, you are not the only burger bar slinging burgers in town. One thing others have adapted is a better packaging/aluminum foil wrap that retains heat longer. I did also find the burgers rather Greasy after I had to "bake" them in the oven for 15mins and was having a hard time swallowing down the grease. Great bun, thought!
