Hereās another honest review of my visit to the Starbucks located in Sherway mall (not indigo)
Location/Amenities: 1/1 star This location is conveniently located on the North East side of the mall facing the Queensway. Itās important to note there is PLENTY of free parking, mall access, outdoor and indoor seating and has the ability to take mobile orders. In terms of convenience this is the most accessible location however, itās also the busiest.
Staff: 0/1 star There is something off about this location. ITāS SO DAMN BUSY and WELL STAFFED but always seems to be a GONG SHOW. This isnāt an attack or lash out to the employees because I feel they are doing a fantastic job but someone from management/corporate needs to address the volume, operations, and logistics to create a better customer experience. Iām giving this a 0 out of 1 until I can honestly say things are running smoothly. People standing everywhere. Mobile orders are a mess.
Service: 0/1 star Because of my previous point, service can be hit or miss. When Starbucks Canada made the absolute worst decision to close down locations they failed to meet the demand of their existing locations. Again, this isnāt any fault to the baristas who are currently working there.
Food/coffee: 1/1 star I havenāt had any issues with this location in terms of out of stock product or availability. This location has everything you need and has all of your Starbucks favourites.
Wow factor: 0/1 star This location has the mall and heavy foot traffic going for itself. There isnāt anything in terms of interior space or architecture that makes it stand out to itās other locations in the neighbourhood. I like this Starbucks because of itās convenience however Iām hoping someone with authority can improve the customer experience.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this location on Friday August 27 around mid day, I have been to this location numerous times as I previously worked at this mall and live close by. I mobile ordered and when I entered the energy in the store was completely chaotic, I was heading to the area to pick up a mobile order and the manager stopped me to ask if I mobile ordered and before I could even get the word yes out she loudly interrupted and said to go to mobile order area (which I was already on my way to do before she stopped me). When I got to the counter my food and drinks were already ready and waiting there and I was the only person standing right at the counter. As I got there I told the man serving drinks my name and he acknowledged me then called another name to pick up their drink that was clearly just made. He proceeded to say āI think sheās just going to get her drink firstā and motioned to the woman behind me⦠Iām still confused as to why someone behind me, who ordered after me would be served first as I was essentially asked to move out of the way for another woman. I moved so she could grab her drinks but I then said āthat was strange I wonder why that would have happenedā my perception of the incident was that this man didnāt like the way I looked and treated me as such. I told her but Iām coming every year and get my gift, she told me did you scan the card when you buy, i told her not but why i need to scan? She said to collect the stars otherwise you donāt have anythings, then she told me which drink you want, i told her normally i took food not drink, then she answered ā SORRY, we canāt give you foodā this answered make me feel a BEGGAR for food or money š The store manager should training the baristas how to deal with kind of this situation, instead tell the customer you donāt have points or rewards, should smile in customerās face and said please give me one second to check with my manager about your rewards or about the system.
