Kernels Popcorn — Local services in Toronto

(Sunday October 26, 2025) The girl with the gauge piercings and tattoos has a horrible attitude and quite possibly racist. We are visibly Muslim (wearing hijabs). She told my sister to not lean over the counter when grabbing the popcorn bag (how else was she going to grab the bag?) because she doesn’t know how clean her hands are…. but didn’t say that to the white guy after us when he did the same thing. When I looked over the counter, the popcorn was nowhere to be seen. So why is her grabbing the bag over the counter a “health and safety concern”?

Not only that, she kept telling my sister to “pay on the pinpad about 3 times while my sister was taking her card out. Did she think we weren’t going to pay? My sister was way too nice to her and said she didn’t want to give her the time of day. Not sure why someone like her works there. If she doesn’t like her job, she shouldn’t be working at a place where you need to communicate with people. Disgusting attitude. She’s lucky the line was long and we felt bad to cause an inconvenience to the customers behind us because she needs to be spoken to and fired. I will most likely come back and speak to a manager when I get the chance because this is absolutely ridiculous. Not sure why Kernels is employing...

I am NEVER impressed with poor customer service! This is definitely the case at Sherway Kernels. They told me they stop making popcorn at 6:30pm when they close at 9pm!! And would not make the flavour of popcorn that I wanted. I drove 30 Mins to get to the mall and was coming to make a purchase at Kernels and one other place. I think is horrible customer service! I go to Kernels in Vaughn Mills and have never run into this. I hope management sees this review and you decide to serve your customers better!!...

Good customer service, very friendly staff. All bags were filled to the absolute top. I got them while they had the buy 2 bags and get 1 bag for free promotion in Oct 2022. They use quality (and cute) resealable bags lined with foil so the popcorn doesn't go bad. I just can't do the Bad Monkey popcorn no more they're stale when you leave them for too long even...
