Taco Mezcal Imperial — Restaurant in Toronto

Once in a while you find a food experience that is truly special. Immediately upon walking in, Alejandro welcomed me warmly and sat me down.

I ordered chicken sopas and a fried corn tortilla dish that Alejandro told me was called a flute.

The food came quickly and hot, and the service was polite and enthusiastic.

First, the Sopas.

Really truly delicious. The corn flavor from the dough was perfectly balanced by the chicken and refried beans. It reminded me of my childhood days spent shucking fresh corn from a small stand in rural Ontario.

The flute was also excellent. Im not certain what was in it, but the shatteringly crunchy outer was satisfying to bite into and totally delicious.

Topped off with a shot of tequila, it was exactly the dinner I was craving and had in mind.

I can't stress enough: If you appreciate excellent service and awesome food, Tequila Imperial is the place to go!

I attended the grand opening last October. I never had authentic Mexican food compared to Taco Bell. It may costs more but you have a sense that you are in Mexico. There were families singing, hugging and dancing. It is very family friendly but not a budget friendly for one. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Had the most wonderful experience at this beautiful family run restaurant. The staff is so friendly and very welcoming and the food is incredible!! Great portion size as well .
