This is my first time and last time to any Tahini’s location.
I’ve been seeing Tahini’s a lot and wanted to try for the first time for lunch today. I ordered a regular Habibi Bowl and after I paid, while waiting for my food, I saw that they had a daily specials menu which featured the Habibi Bowl as the special for today (20% off). I asked the cashier for my receipt because I wasn’t sure if I had the discount applied (it wasn’t applied), and was very disappointed for their response to the whole situation. The worker stated that the daily special and what I ordered is different, to which I asked if there was a difference between Habibi Bowls. They said if I wanted the daily special, I should’ve said so before paying, because they have to manually apply the discount. I said that I only saw the special after ordering. They responded saying they have a lot of different functions for punching in orders so they cannot remember which special is for which day. I was extremely confused as they were implying that customers who are unaware of the specials cannot get the discounted deal. I stated to them that it was their job to apply the discount, not the customer’s.
After the continuation of this very confusing back-and-forth, they refunded me in coins the difference, which was $3. This issue with the money is so minuscule compared to the way they handled the issue. Extremely unprofessional and left the worst taste in my and my friend’s mouths. Will not be returning here or to any other location as the 3-star food and 1-star service are not...
Read moreRude employee asked me to give him 5 stars by name before he even made my food. The QR code they had for the review page didn't even work. Screen which usually displays the Wraps menu was disconnected, and when I asked for a physical menu, the employee directed me to the kiosk. Other customers informed me that the kiosk doesn't work. I decided to try anyway and found that the touchscreen on the terminal did not work when it prompted for a tip (ironic). I figured out I could cancel the tip screen by using the red button and paid by tap. Employee repeatedly asked me follow up questions regarding sauces and spiciness, which I had already answered on the kiosk. Employee then asked again if I gave him five stars, at which point I had to tell him that I would first like to have my food. I got the Jerk Chicken wrap, and it was spicier than I expected, but maybe that's just on me for not being too familiar with jerk chicken. All in all extremely uncomfortable experience and subpar shawarma. I look forward to returning when I see that this has been addressed. I will not name the employee because I would not be surprised if he was simply instructed to act this way...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I ordered catering and ordered $220 worth for a gathering. They asked me to place it online but online - the system was not designed for orders 2 days advance. This wrong information caused a lot of issues. The messaged me saying the order will be there in an hour on Friday when I actually need it for Sunday morning. On the day of, they did not deliver on time. We had to go pick it up the food was not properly cooked. the tortilla was hard to chew and not fresh -they only gave us 1 hot sauce on the side for over 100 pieces of shawarma wrap bites. they said they will label them, they called me saying they can’t. they didn’t deliver, they didn’t cook the food well, stale tortilla. most importantly they weren’t a keeper of their word.
Not even meeting the bare minimum.
Last but not the least, when we did go to pick the order, they spoke to us so rudely, no courtesy.
Now to expect them to reimburse my delivery fee would be a long shot since they cannot even do the bare minimum and make proper food and provide...
