Had the Thairacha Chicken today, asked for it to be spicy... Wow, this was the blandest dish I've ever eaten from this franchise. It wasn't spicy, in fact it had no flavour at all. The vegetables seemed fresh and tasted great, but the sauce and chicken was absolutely flavorless... This is not common with Thai Express and this dish, but had to put this out there because this was a $16 meal that didn't taste like anything. Not sure what happened here. Update: I revisited the location, and made the same order. I can say that the quality of the dish was MUCH improved. The dish had flavour, and there was no question it was spicy! It was really spicy, but for me, that's not a bad thing! I didn't like that as I stood near the front, the cook was busy cooking and there was no one to greet me at the front. I was not sure if my dish was ready, as I didn't see any completed pick-up orders within eye-shot. Then the manager came from the back after a few minutes and greeted me, and when I let them know I was there to pick up an order, she asked the cook in a condescending tone why they didn't service me, but really, he was very busy with cooking, so I don't really see that as the fault of the cook. Even if he did acknowledge me, he wouldn't have had a chance to give me my order anyway, so the manager was, imho, out of line, but wasn't overly mean or berating. If I was a customer waiting to order, I could see it being an issue, but given I already ordered, didn't think the action was justified, but I understood. While I liked the dish compared to my original experience, I think there are some things to work out when it comes to service, especially instances when the cook is alone, and no one is able to work POS, as customers could always just walk away.

⭐ 1 Star (If I could give 0, I would) Absolutely disgusting experience at Thai Express. I found a long hair in my Pad Thai and immediately brought it to their attention. The owner's wife had the audacity to tell me she "couldn’t see any hair", basically calling me a liar. Seriously? I'm not imagining a strand of hair in my food. The owner reluctantly agreed to remake the dish. The second one came drenched in an overwhelming amount of sauce — completely inedible. It was clearly a spiteful attempt at a remake. Not only that, but I had originally ordered the lunch special, and was told it included a spring roll. When I asked about it, suddenly it wasn’t included anymore — completely contradicting what was said earlier. First they said “it’s coming,” then they said “you didn’t order the lunch special.” Total bait and switch. In the end, I couldn’t even eat the second dish and had to ask for a refund. The entire interaction was rude, defensive, and completely unprofessional. The way they handled a simple complaint was shameful — no apology, no accountability, just attitude and excuses. If you care at all about hygiene, customer service, or even basic human decency — do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. I will never be returning.

Regularly grabbed food here for lunch when I worked in the building. Quality and taste is very consistent, and tastes much better than the other locations I’ve tried. Meat is always tender, flavours are well balanced (not too sweet), never too dry, soggy or gummy/sticky. Watching the skilled cook prepare your food while he handles the wok like a pro is very entertaining. Then dumping it into your container and handing it to you while it’s still ripping hot from the wok is even better. Very entertaining and makes it taste even better👍

This place has gone downhill since I was in the office, and prices have gone up. First off, my chicken curry on noodles had barely any chicken (maybe 1/8 of a cup in tiny tiny pieces), but was FILLED with frozen diced carrots, sautéed onions and canned pineapple — really? Plus, 2 tiny pieces of broccoli. That’s shady, and obviously intentional, to rip off the consumer. Plus and it was flavourless - not seasoned. All this for $15 for lunch? I would guess the cost of the meal was literally $1-1.50, noodles, powdered curry sauce, coconut milk, 1/4 cup frozen carrots, 1/4 sm onion, 1/4 cup pineapple, 2 tbsp broccoli and about 1/16 of a chicken breast. Cost it out! Ridiculous! Never again, mark my word. I wonder if this is the Corp direction or just this location, but no matter, there are a TON of other...
