The burger was not all that it was hyped up to be. For the price I’d say it was good but the taste was about average so nothing special. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. There was actually two things that was a bit concerning…

I went at peak lunch time and I figured with the time I went to go eat and with the amount of reviews this place has received, I thought I was going to be in line for a while. Well I walked in and there was only one customer in the restaurant. I was the second customer in the entire restaurant at 12:30PM. That’s the first sign of caution for me. If the restaurant was truly that delicious then there would always be more than one customer dining… especially at peak lunch time. By the time I started eating my meal the first customer left making me the only one in there until the end of my meal when a family of three arrived. Wow

As I went to the restroom to wait on my meal I noticed there was no hand soap. No problem right? WRONG! Instead of hand soap there was a huge bottle of Dove women’s conditioner in its place. I thought to myself that maybe they used the big bottle to store a lot of soap…. No not at all. There was in fact Dove conditioner in the Dove conditioner bottle. Last I checked conditioner doesn’t kill germs but hey at least my hands smelled so good! (At least there was hand sanitizer at the counter by the napkins or at least I hope it was hand sanitizer…)

Overall it isn’t worth they hype. Try a different burger joint. If you end up eating here then I hope you had a better...

As someone who loves burgers, I can confidently say that The Burgernator in Kensington Market is an absolute must-visit. This unassuming eatery may not look like much from the outside, but once you step inside and take your first bite, you'll understand why it has become a beloved staple of Toronto's food scene.

The Burgernator's burgers are simply incredible. From the juicy beef patties to the fresh toppings and perfectly toasted buns, every component of their burgers is executed to perfection. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cheeseburger or something more adventurous, like their signature "Atomic Burger" with habanero aioli, you won't be disappointed.

But what really sets The Burgernator apart is the quality of their ingredients. They use only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that every burger is bursting with flavor. And if you're looking for something to wash down your meal, their selection of craft beers and sodas is sure to please.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Burgernator is cozy and inviting. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the space itself is decorated with quirky touches like vintage arcade games and comic book art.

All in all, The Burgernator is an absolute gem. Whether you're a burger aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal in Kensington Market, you won't be disappointed by this fantastic eatery. Highly...

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE GLUTEN INTOLERANCES! The burger I ordered at The Burgernator was perfect and delicious, however… I have to eat a gluten free diet, otherwise I get horrible SEIZURES the more gluten that enters my system. This is a very serious health issue! I had called ahead of time to make sure that they offered gluten free options, which the man on the phone replied that the burgers were, and you could get a gf bun. When we got there, the cashier (I believe her name was Ezra) was nice and friendly but didn’t seem to speak English that well, or really understand what I meant when I asked about one of their burgers on the menu being gluten free. I asked about the burger with the buffalo chicken strips added to it. She said that it was gf, so I ordered it. When she brought it to us, the chicken strips were noticeably breaded, so I asked her again, and she said that 100% it was gluten free. I did not believe her, so I took them off my burger. After I finished the rest of the delicious burger, I went and talked to someone else behind the counter, and NO the chicken strips were not gluten free! I told the man what happened and yes he did apologize, however, I believe we should have got a free burger or order of fries or something in compensation for this...

Great burgers! Right in the heart of Kensington market. They are rich in flavor and not dry at all. We liked the fries too, especially the sweet potato fries. I wish though they had an option for a salad as a side. Staff is super friendly and helpful (it was difficult to choose from such a great variety). Dining both inside and on the patio is spacious.

Visited The Burgenator few years ago, and recently went back for a casual dinner with a colleague. I got a fully loaded, with a side of fries. The quality of the burger is spot on. The patty is fresh, ridiculously topped, and super juicy. Brownie points since The Burgenator is Halal, this was a true life saver in our case as my colleague couldn't have enjoyed the meat otherwise. Overall the price is also relatively good. Not as cheap as your average fast food chain, but also not as pricey as a pub. In short, fair and reasonable. Everything else? So and so . . . The taste and colour of the fries suggests that the deep frier oil was in desperate need for a change. Maybe bad luck? The place itself needs a bit of an upgrade. The air is comparable to that of a Korean BBQ restaurant, slightly foggy, makes you wish you had left that new cardigan in the car instead of brining it with you at the restaurant. I did have to leave my clothes on the balcony that night after dinner. . . Tables need a bit of loving care, more frequent cleaning would be pleasant! I would be back for more if in the area. However, I'd stick to the burger alone, and probably enjoy it in the nearby park to avoid the smokey air in the restaurant.
