Had been eyeing this popular seafood takeout spot for a long time whenever i happened to pass through here. Me and my friend decided to give it a try. Got their classic fish sandwich (snapper) for ~$18. My friend got the sandwich with avacado add-on which was around $2.5 more, which according to him was definitely worth it. The place mostly offers take-outs, with seasonal outdoor patio seating in summers. That's where we sat and enjoyed the sandwiches. Honestly I'd say the fish sandwiches definitely live uo to their level of freshness! But they're not the best bang for the buck in town. That's the only cons i could find regarding the place. I'm still looking to try other stuff in their menu later on, including their poke bowls.

How did I not know about this place? Outstanding fish sandwiches, made to order (so call ahead if you’re short on time), and reasonably priced. We got the haddock and grilled tuna sandwiches, plus a shrimp burger to share. The sandwiches were massive, lightly seasoned for the fish flavours to come thru. Bun soft but chewy, perfect ratio to filling. My favourite was the shrimp burger. We were lucky to score a table on their tiny but cute patio. Next visit want to splurge on the halibut and scallop sandwiches. Also try their clam chowder and of course MORE shrimp burgers. Owners super nice and helpful, and you can tell take pride and care in preparing your meal. Can’t wait to come back.

Finally had a chance to visit 'The Fish Store' and it was definitely worth the wait. Pictures below are the Scallop and Halibut Sandwich which was both cooked to perfection. We ordered from the outside window, there was a few tables outside to eat your meal at. It took approx. 10 mins for our lunch, the bread was extremely soft, hot and fresh. The entire sandwhich was delicious, I forgot to ask for avocados which I would definitely add to my sandwhich next time. We showed up around 3pm and the clam chowder was sold out, arrive early if that's something you want!

confusing menu. They have their usual menu posted, but there was another "lunch special" which included a soup. I tried to get more info about that menu, but the cook/cashier just told me "that's not available"... not sure why, cuz it was lunch time. I mean you could take down the sign if it's not being offered.. It was just a handwritten piece of paper. anyways, I ordered their sandwich with snapper. paid just under $20 with tax. Yeah, a $20 sandwich. Was still hungry after taking my last bite. Definitely not a good value. I had high hopes for this place.. I thought maybe the small, take-out only business model (similar to how a food truck operates) might have translated into a good value for the consumers.. nope. I'm sure their food costs have increased just like everyone else, but if you have to charge $20 for one sandwich which can be finished in less than 7 bites, you've got to reevaluate your business model. also, they asked if I wanted to add guacamole on the sandwich...sounded great, until I saw that it was $3 extra. $3 for a condiment on a sandwich. hehe.....

I go to a school nearby and we're allowed to go out of school property on fridays to buy something. I went here with my friends. I ordered a salmon sandwich, my friend bought a haddock sandwich, and my other friend purchased a salmon sanwich to. Unfortunatly, one of my friends was short by 2 dollars. The guy there said its okay and he covered for my friend. We sat at the table and it was freezing. The owner(I think) gave all of us hot tea. The food was top quality and perfectly seasoned. The choice of vegetables was wise, as it provided a crunch and a balance to render any bad taste. The bread is fluffy in the inside and crispy on the outside. After we were getting ready to go, the owner gave us chocolate. I'm going to go there again 100% next time I...
