My recent encounter with The Kabob Guys on Queen Street left me greatly disappointed due to the undercooked nature of the food, particularly the kabobs, and the unforgivable state of the fries, which were still frozen. This culinary experience was far from satisfactory, reflecting a lack of attention to detail and proper cooking techniques.

The centerpiece of any kabob establishment should be the succulent and perfectly grilled meat. However, my experience at The Kabob Guys was marred by the undercooked state of the kabobs. The promised charred exterior and tender interior were absent, replaced by a rawness that compromised both taste and texture. It was a glaring oversight that showcased a lack of skill and care in the kitchen.

The accompanying side of fries only exacerbated the disappointment. The fact that they were served frozen, rather than cooked to a crisp and golden brown, was nothing short of unacceptable. Frozen fries not only lack flavor and texture, but they also demonstrate a disregard for quality control and a lack of commitment to providing a satisfying meal.

Service at The Kabob Guys, though polite, couldn't offset the glaring culinary flaws. The ambiance of the establishment was unremarkable, further detracting from any potential positives that could have contributed to the dining experience.

A successful dining experience hinges on the basics of proper cooking and attention to detail. The Kabob Guys' failure to ensure that the kabobs were cooked to perfection and that the fries were adequately prepared reflects a lack of culinary expertise that undermines their credibility as a reputable eatery.

In conclusion, my visit to The Kabob Guys on Queen Street was a disheartening experience characterized by undercooked kabobs and frozen fries. The absence of well-executed cooking techniques and attention to detail severely impacted the overall meal. For those seeking a satisfying kabob meal with quality and taste in mind, it is advisable to explore other dining options that prioritize culinary excellence and customer...

Passing through Toronto's Fashion District late on a summer Sunday evening, I needed food. The problem was, as the clock ticked towards 11:00pm, everything and everyone seemed to be closed. Except for The Kabob Guys (TKG) Afghan Grill on Spadina and Richmond West. Although it was near closing time, the staff mercifully took my take-out order for a TKG Signature Dinner of Chaplee kebab (چپلي کباب) - spicy ground beef patties, served with golden brown Basmati rice, salad, naan (Afghan bread), and sauces.

While waiting for the food to be prepared, I was struck by the simple elegance of the bright wooden interior. Especially in the solitude of that late hour, it seemed to radiate an understated peace and lightness. And, I smiled seeing one of the sayings adorning the walls, "People who love Food are the Best People." I'll eat to that.

The Chaplee dinner served up two abundant beef patties on a mound of rice. Hearty and filling, though with room for a bit more spice, this was real food and sustenance.

Thank you TKG (The Kabob Guys) Afghan Grill. You were there for me when I was hungry - when no...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the The Kabob guys, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The menu was diverse and offered a range of traditional Afghan dishes, from succulent kabobs and fragrant rice dishes. I decided to try the chicken and beef tikka kabob, and I must say it was one of the best kabobs I have ever had! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it was served with a delicious sauce that added the perfect amount of tanginess.

In addition to the delicious food, the service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He even took the time to explain the origin of some of the dishes and the ingredients used in them, which added an extra layer of appreciation to the meal.

Overall, I highly recommend the kabob guys to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious lunch or dining experience. The food, service, and ambiance are all top-notch, and I will definitely be...

Wow finally we now have an authentic and delicious Afghan restaurant in the heart of Toronto's entertainment district! We normally go to East York just to get our Afghani food cravings, but not anymore. We decided to try their Double Kabob Platters - Sultan & Wazir which includes aromatic brown Basmati rice, traditional Afghan salad, freshly baked Naan, 2 skewers of meat and sauces. The Beef Tikka & Classic Chicken skewers are soft and tender on the inside and beautifully charred on the outside. The Shish Kofta Kabob is jam-packed with flavours from the seasoning/spices and seared to perfection. And to satisfy your sweet tooth, the Mango Smoothie is creamy and delicious and meant to be enjoyed alongside any Afghani meal. Service was also exemplary with Swati the order taker/cashier having a pleasant attitude and providing great customer service by being helpful and knowledgeable. Great food, generous portion, and exceptional service are what you get when you dine at The Kabob Guys. We will surely be back here ... again and again.

Very Good! I ordered the Sultani: 7 pieces of Beef Sirloin combined with 1 skewer of ground beef seasoned and marinated in traditional afghan spices and herbs, grilled to perfection and served with golden brown basmati rice, naan and white sauces! To my surprise the Star⭐ of this meal were the Naan and White sauces. The Naan was the best I ever had! They bake it fresh in-house. Another highlight was the addictive and flavorful white sauce. For drink i had Ayran yogurt which was very refreshing. Last another pro was the skewer kofta kebob which was delicious. Cons: the rice was bland but good, beef sirloin was too chewy for my liking. That is all pros and cons. Overall, pros outweighs the cons and I will definitely come back but next time I will skip Sultani and order Tandoori Waziri. Service was great, cost is reasonable, portion size is great, restaurant clean and busy location. Very good overall 8 out of 10.
