I got ube cheese cake, walnut chocolate chip, milk n’ Oreos, cinnamon roll, C3, s’mores, sesame salted egg yolk. I wanted to like these cookies since they are so aesthetically pleasing. I’m a crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle kind of cookie person. These are what I classify as cake cookies. For most of the cookies (except for the Halloween candy cookie), I wouldn’t really say they have any chew, at least not in the way someone means when they say chewy cookie. These are soft, slightly fudgey, like a cakey brownie. I wouldn’t call these raw like I’ve seen in some reviews, but I would describe it as they bake them just until done. Meaning if they baked them for 30 seconds shorter, they probably would be underbaked. These are baked just until set. I have read a lot of reviews saying these are too sweet or too salty. There was maybe one cookie that I felt was salty (milk n’ Oreos milk cookie), the rest I would say are generally very sweet and and could use more salt to balance out the sweetness. Half the cookies had a mealy texture - kind of like how whole wheat bread has slightly more grittiness than white bread; the chocolate chip, cinnamon roll, ube cheese cake and milk n’ Oreos. Out of all the cookies, I liked the s’mores and Halloween candy the best. I think both flavours were well balanced. Not too sweet or salty. Texture was more what I wanted. The s’mores is not a chewy cookie, it’s got more of a fudgey quality to it but not soft cake like the others. I was half expecting it to have a filling but it doesn’t. It’s a thick chocolate cookie with marshmallow on top. The Halloween candy cookie is more what you would expect texture wise from a chocolate chip cookie. Chewy in the middle. Could use some crispy edges to make it a texture of a classic CCC. Of course who doesn’t enjoy a candy bar. The ube and salted egg yolk I would say are the most interesting of flavours. I think the ube is fun to try but I don’t see myself going back for more. I took a couple bites and it was too much for me. Also, it’s more ube than ube cheesecake. I didn’t realize there was part cheesecake until I looked it up. This is very soft. It’s not raw, that’s the ube halaya, which does taste as expected. I liked the sesame salted egg yolk better than the ube. It was the least sweet of the cookies. Good salted egg yolk flavoured filling and solid black sesame taste for the cookie itself. Just a bit too soft and cakey for me. The C3 tasted more like a chocolate chip cookie than the actual walnut CCC. Both were too soft for me and had none of the chew that I like to see in a CCC. The C3 I would say is the better cookie compared to the walnut ccc. It was my second least liked, with cinnamon roll taking last place. Cinnamon roll was the sweetest of the bunch, with a strange after taste, almost - baking soda-y/chemically. Unfortunately the cookie I got was a bit soggy. Perhaps due to the cream cheese icing filling. It was a miss for me and I love cinnamon rolls/buns. Overall, I probably won’t go back to repurchase. These cookies aren’t for me, however, these cookies are perfect for someone who loves soft cookies (no crispy edges, minimal to no chew) and has a strong...

Read moreFat and gooey, doughy yet chewy, Night Baker makes cookies just the way I like them. I don't know how they make these soft blobs taste like slightly-underbaked cookie dough and whatever-flavour-you-choose at the exact same bite, but I'm all in for it!
My wife and I got a box of 6 ($15 no tax), and chose: Ooh Bae: Ube cookie with ube jam filling. I loved that the ube taste was strong (and not just a powder dusting), and the jam filling was oh so gooey. This was both our favourites, so it was good we got 2. Campfire Smores: I like my smores to be more heavily chocolate than marshmallow, and this was it. Mistachio: I didnt really like it, but my wife's a big fan of matcha and pistachio (both flavours that were strong here), and she loved this cookie. Milk and Oreos: More milky than chocolatey. Pretty good though tasted more like a traditional cookie. Beggos: Nutella cookie with nutella filling and waffle crisps. Again, the flavour was strong and the filling was gooey.
We had some on-the-spot (heavenly, since they were still warm), and a day after (a bit less chewy but still very good), and loved the cookies both times. I hope they continue baking well into the night because we are definitely coming...
