"Very Fair" Seafood Cuisine... ironically "Unfair" is more suitable for their name. I brought my mom here for a dim sum breakfast a few weeks ago. That's our first time visiting, unfortunately it's also the last. First, there's only 1 chair in the waiting area. ONE. We all know going for dim sum breakfast is a family event. I saw at least 10 seniors there waiting with their family, my mom was one of them. It was crowded. It was a long wait, but none of them were able to sit down. No one cared. The staff was busy running back and forth through the crowd. I've seen a staff bumping into an elderly and almost knocked them over. If you're not gonna give them a chair, would you at least be more careful around them? I overheard someone asking about getting a chair for his dad, but the staff said no because there's no space available. Secondly, don't come here unless you know the staff personally. The assigned number means nothing. For the whole 40 mins we're waiting, many groups leaving and many groups going in. I never once heard the staff calling any number. Yet I witnessed at least 6 groups of people got their table (yes, I counted). HOW? All they had to do was whispering to the staff's ear. Then viola! Within 5 minutes they got to be seated. How do regular citizens like us get a table? Wait until we're the last 3 groups left in the waiting area, and our existence was finally noticeable to the staff. The only good thing about this restaurant was the food. They made good dim sum. So I can still recommend this place, but only if you can look pass all the unfair treatment and don't mind get into long wait with all other "not too important customers".

Recommended by two friends that this restaurant provides foods that worth a good value of money. After I tried, I would say, yes it’s worth a bit more than 4. My children loves the mango black glutinous rice rolls, we ordered the two. The beef bone was not as what we usually eat, it’s chewy, seemed marinated and fried with a layer of sweet sauce, I love them as they were not overly softened。Turnip rice cake is my favorite, it has chunks of juicy turnips in which added more texture and flavor, definitely should try and the jinger cake is also wonderful. Small Congee was enough for 5 persons, good portion. What I could ask to improve is the beef stomachs, as it’s too much chewy, which I prefer a softer texture. At last, a 12% tip is automatically added to the bill.

Service: Wednesday morning was pretty busy. Overall wait for a table for 3 was a bit over 45min. Language may be a bit of a barrier. In terms of speed of service for food, it was efficient. Although, asking for hot sauce or chilli oil may take awhile. Food: Chicken Feet was really good and my favourite dish at the restaurant. Chinese broccoli was yummy and crunchy. Sui Mai was good but I had better, it was slightly bigger than average and had a meatier taste. Steamed Bean Curd Roll, Fried Shrimp Roll, Shrimp & Chives Roll, Honey Cake, Pin Noodles, Short Ribs, Ginger Pork Buns were all average and okay. Overall price w/ an automatic 12% service fee = $130 Ambience can get a tiny bit loud but still fine to catch up with friends or family. Parking lot can be busy.

Very delicious authentic Chinese cuisine ! If you are looking for legit HK style food this is the place to be. Highly recommend roasted pork (bbq pork) the skin is done very well and pair that with jellyfish you will be rolling home Just a quick update with an incident which overall experienced went down the hill!

Long story short a Chinese restaurant this size can’t take a normal order. Very poor customer service! Way over priced stay away from this location. Is nearly close to a scam!

Fact 1, we place an order on some dish few week ago, few day prior the dinner I even confirm with them that some dish will be available. Also it was promised that they will “try” Turns out never the case! All they know is to take 💰💰! Never again with this place only wish they shut down or maybe call health canada because the way they handle food seems fishy ! Stay away Looking at the response make me laugh. If you have taken a “request” seriously FEW WEEKS AGO than this wouldn’t even happen. So suddenly you care about review, and you don’t care when it was a 5 stars? P-L-E-A-S-E

Let’s look at Facts! You open your door for food business, as a PAYING customer, we order food. I’ve give you few week in advance notice, we just want to place an order of different dessert! something very simple just not red bean dessert! you have more than few weeks to get it done. But no, you ignored and brush off the facts. If you claim your kitchen chefs can’t make something simple. They shouldn’t be call chefs! On the day of, if paying customer order a SIMPLE garlic fired vegetables 🥦 are you going to refuse the order and tell the customer, “we are too busy, we can not take your food order?!” Enough said, chance have been given and I will not take it back. If you do really care! your comment/reply wouldn’t even be like so. This only show how much you value 💰💰...

First revisit after a near 2 decades absence!

After an eye doctor appointment just down the road, my wife and I decided to go for an early-bird Dim Sum special brunch. The imposing facade of Very Fair caught our eyes whilst driving past it and we decided to give it a try.

At 10.00 am, a line was already forming at the reception area whilst the ginormous and brightly lite, front-of-house was near 100% packed! We were lucky to be seated at a rare, out of the way small table.

S, M and L size Dim Sum were priced at $5.47 across the board.

We ordered:

Baked Pineapple and BBQ pork buns ( They actually put small chunks of pineapple in the filling! The end product was nicely made, not too sweet and packed generously with juicy filling ).

Har Gow, steamed Shrimp Dumpling ( Current popular rendition featuring giant size morsels the size of a golf ball. Nicely seasoned, crunchy and juicy prawn filling but missing in winter bamboo shoots bits. Chewy, slightly thick skin. Overall, acceptable, better than average product )

Peanuts, Salted Pork Bones and ' Cai-Yu ' Sun dried fish Rice Congee ( 柴鱼花生粥 ). ( Impressive, excellent and flavourful product that was cooked from scratch and not using a ' mother ' generic rice congee base. A rare find these days! Pity fried crullers were not offered on the menu )

Deep fried savoury stuffed doughnut aka Ham-Shui-Gok. ( A touch greasy, otherwise an enjoyable ' crunchy and chewy ' product with generous, juicy diced pork and pickle filling )

Trio of Pan-Fried Savoury and Sweet Cakes - Traditional savoury Turnip, Sweet Water Chestnut and Chewy Ginger. ( All nicely executed and again with generous main ingredients! )

Though swarmed and extremely busy, our lady server was extremely polite, attentive and helpful!....another rarity!

Overall, a most surprising and enjoyable luncheon experience that is worthy of a...

My family and I have been here three times after their renovation late November or early December 2024. We went twice for dim sum and one time for Christmas dinner there.

Note that I did see the YouTube video review of this place of some guy complaining about this place and still went and tried this place anyway.

Confirmation - I can only agree with his review on the service and it only applied during dim sum on New Year's Day and the restaurant was at full capacity. So the dim sum coming out took longer than usual. During our dinner service on Christmas Day, they were very attentive to our table most of the time. We had a table for 10 people and we ordered a set meal in advance. We made a change to one of the dishes and they were very accommodating. So I am unsure what that YouTuber is referring to for his meal set and their service. It was not at full capacity on Christmas Day and they also had a wedding on that day too.

As for the food, for the dim sum the food was great and delicious. My kids love their rice roll with lean pork and their salted egg custard bun bun. Personally I love their deep fried egg yolk dumpling with molten sesame and their Siu mai. If you like congee, I recommend you get their chef's special slice pork, pork liver and tripe congee or the corn and pumpkin congee. I have not tried the other congee so I cannot provide an accurate review for that item. As for the set dinner, we enjoyed every dish. I did wish that I took more photos; I was too hungry and forgot. 😞

As for the atmosphere, during dim sum hours on New Year's Day, loud and busy; but you can still hear the people at your table. Christmas Day, more calm and less busy. Christmas Eve dim sum hours, calm and less busy since it was a...
