I had stopped eating at this place. Stopped 2008. I could not handle their salty jerk chicken.
March 30, 2024, I was in the plaza and I didn't want filler fast-food. I wanted something solid. I thought to try something else there, besides the Jerk chicken. I had ordered fries chicken and when I opened the container, in the car, it was curry chicken. I tried eating it in the parking lot instead of returning it because I didn't want any attitude.
I regretted going their because the experience that I had with the heavy salt reared its ugly head after years of absence. The curry chicken was bloody salty; I was literally feeling my bloody pressure rising. The thing had no flavour to it. All that I was experiencing were salt and heat.
Horrible food. Never a damn gain am I going to this place. I don't know how they survived for this long selling salty food? This is why Black people have hypertension and diabetes, eating from places like this and cooking similarly at home.
Willy's Jerk, you must do better with your salt portions. You have been preparing heavily salted foods for years without being mindful of people's health. I could have bet money that if I had told them years ago or today about how salty the food has been, they would have been vexed and argumentative and dismissive instead of making adjustments.
Willy's Jerk, what if I had returned the food? How would you have taken it? Would you have taken it as fair criticism? The cashier entered the wrong meal and it was salty. I know that it would not have gone well if I had brought it back given the people who run the operation.
I am greatly disappointed. Customers should not be made or think of being intimidated if they were to voice concerns about a Black run business's service and product quality.
Again, your food is awful and I should have not returned and will never return. Shameful of you giving people that jeopardize their health.
You are not even friendly, no hello just how can I help you attitude? Lose the uninviting attitude. Black people must lose this stinking attitude. We don't have to buy from you. Us buying from you is us keeping you in business, so who...
Read moreCan never get gravy for fried chicken. Not everyone wants overly sweet red sauce on their food. I went they're the other day around 11 am and asked the lady if I could get curry gravy for my fried chicken and her response was "oh we don't do that anymore" you don't put gravy on rive in a west Indian restaurant. Ok lady. We all know how carribean food should be served and gravy is required.
And the girl at the front always looks so annoyed 😒 (the taller, darker skinnier one) I see the reviews below are about her also but she still works there. The food and service in combination is why I will not be going back.
DECEMBER 2024 RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY: IT TOOK YOU 9 MONTHS TO REPLY THAT SHOWS HOW SERIOUS YOU TAKE CUSTOMER FEEDBACK. Read moreWell, I went in to order stew, peas, and rice and instead I got stew, beef and rice. I wish the lady would’ve told me that it was stew, beef and rice. Instead, I get home to notice that it is stew, beef and rice and I was never so disappointed because I’ve had stew peas and rice from that location before I don’t know who’s in the kitchen, but they need to understand that people would like to have what they paid for not what they did not pay for also stew, beef and rice. The stew beef was very dry and it tasted like it was two days old please if anybody out there, look at this and tell me if this is stew, peas, and rice. Also, Ppl, please check your food in the restaurant before you go home. That way you know that you can dispute it not like me where I can’t really dispute it but nowadays you can’t throw food away so I took the beef off and I student myself with more gravy, and it...
