Poor service, I had to yell across the counter for the girl to even come to our table and give us service. She gave me the wrong food and then after eating 1 bite of it, she still charges me for the meal even after I told her to take it off the bill. Never going here again, not the first time im disappointed in this restaurant.
Wow. I just read the reply from the owner, unbelievable.
FIRST OF ALL, i ordered MILD minced beef with tofu as I ALWAYS get. I took one bite, then took out about 3 tablespoons of red hot peppers. The girl even acknowledged how many peppers came out and asked if i wanted to re-order. I said NO, TAKE IT OFF THE BILL.
SECOND OF ALL, i took 1 BITE. Obviously if i ate it, i would pay for it. I HAD ONE BITE OF IT.
THIRDLY, like i said its not the first time i was disappointed with this restaurant. With my seafood allergies, they never take it seriously and try to brush it off.
After reading your reply, it really shows what kind of restaurant you are. We've eaten here lots of times, and i really recommend you go to the other restaurant down the road on 88th. Much much better authetic chinese food. I would give a 0...
Read moreI've eaten at Dragon River a few times. Mostly take out but one in restaurant experience. Every time the food has been hot, fresh and tasty. Their biggest down fall is that they are tucked away into the far corner of the Thunderbird Mall and nobody knows they are there.
One of my favorite childhood memories was big family outings to a restaurant called Shum's in Delta. Shum's has been gone for years but the memories of one of their soups lingered in the recess of my mind. I tried the seafood and tofu soup at Dragon River and instantly I was transported back to my youth at Shum's.
I've tried many menu items but the only one that missed the mark for me was their ginger beef. I like the style of ginger beef where it's dry with a sticky coating of sauce. Their beef was presented like it was part of their beef and broccoli dish. It was tasty enough but not quite what I was looking for in a ginger beef.
My favorites so far is their seafood and tofu soup, sweet and sour pork and just about all their chow mein dishes, especially their black...
Read moreOrdered for delivery at 7:38pm and was told 30-45 minutes. I called to ask what might be taking so long when it was almost 45 minutes. And was told they couldn’t tell me when the food left or the eta. The driver showed up less then 10 minutes away from an hour. I was told the driver was the manager so tried to speak with her about my concern about the freshness after waiting almost an hour. She then said that dinner time delivery would take 45-1hour. It’s was 7:38pm( that’s not dinner time) when I placed the order and was told 30-45 minutes from the girl who took my order. The driver had no compassion or care that the food quality could be poor. At this point we are hungry cause we had to wait but her solution was for me to check the food and if it was cold she would take it back and not charge me.... I don’t know about anyone else but that is not a solution when you have waited and are hungry. I paid.... and shocker the food was cold had to put it in the microwave, sweet and sour pork was soggy and DONT get the crispy wontons they have no...
