The food was fine, about as expected for Boston pizza. The new bbq chicken pizza isn’t good anymore, way too sweet and a weird nutmeg/cinnamon flavour compared to before.
Myself, my partner and our child came in from out of town to see his side of the family, there was 5 adults, 1 child and one baby who wasn’t eating, so maybe that overwhelmed them but our server (who’s name I won’t post publicly) was quite rude to us.
4 of us were sat without acknowledgment for quite some time, I know it can be tough when waiting for the rest of the party to arrive but as a server it’s easier to get some drinks going one by one then be bombarded with orders all at once. My MIL asked what beers they had and she said “well there’s lots” with an attitude, claimed Coors light wasn’t on special even though the menu said it was for Saturdays. My MIL asked what the flavour profile of the craft beer they had on was and our server said “I don’t know”. I get it, all beer tastes gross to me too but as a server you just gotta roll with it and learn things to say even if you can’t honestly vouch for it. It took a while for the other half of our party to order and I’m sorry about that, there was some distractions going on.
While our food came out super fast (which I was pleasantly surprised by) our server didn’t offer refills on the adult sodas or our daughters drink and we couldn’t even track her down to ask for them either, she did however ask if I’d like another drink and when I declined she brought a water out super fast which I appreciated. The manager seemed nice enough but quite aloof, it didn’t seem quite busy but as a server I know a lot can be going on behind the scenes so maybe they were just frazzled with takeout and skip/uber. I’m not sure if they were showing the fights on bar side, if so maybe we just came at a stressful time lol. Our server did check on us shortly after receiving our food, but we didn’t really see her again until it was time to pay. The only time she smiled at us was when she was getting our payment. I usually tip 25%+ because ‘server karma’ but I think we left just over 15% on our tab because we felt pretty unwelcome.
We went to the Boston pizza here in chilliwack a few months ago and had phenomenal service even though it was Mother’s Day and extremely busy, such bubbly welcoming servers at our “home” location. I usually don’t write negative reviews about restaurants because after all these years of being a server myself I know you gotta take them with a grain of salt and things may be different than what they seem, one bad day may not be a reflection of how things operate normally, but I was really really put off by our...
Read moreA manager named Mikayla made our experience absolutely miserable. I've never met a more cranky person working in customer service. We go to BP regularly it's usually our first choice to eat out with our children but I will be avoiding this location from now on. After our initial unpleasant interaction (which only grew worse during our dining experience) I had accidentally left my keys and phone at the counter because of how flustered her greetings made me and then I was frantically looking for them and she had hidden them behind the counter under a bunch of things, it wasn't busy when we came in I could understand maybe they got placed there had it been busy there was maybe three other tables seated when we came in... We spent nearly $200 and were treated like we weren't welcome there. We had about 6 different people serving our table and our needs were still not met by any of them when the pizza came we had no share plates to eat off a drink got spilled no one returned with napkins.. When we complained about the experience we were offered a voucher to come back but it was specific to this location and yhe whole experience was so horrible and unsatisfactory I won't return to this location ever to be honest.. I would recommend you drive to Surrey or Abbotsford or the other Langley location if you want better service! Quite possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I have filled out the online from regarding the incident almost a week ago when this happens and have...
Read moreFood was fine. But didn’t serve the kids meal as advertised. (Spaghetti sauce is advertised as served separate and it was all poured on the meal.) Service is awful. Just horrendous. We get sat down and in a half-empty restaurant and despite’s all the eye-contact and waiting didn’t even get asked if we want a drink for half an hour. I had to walk around and find a manager to send someone over. Then we never saw that server again. We ordered our food and drinks, they can put via runners, and no one checked iron after that first visit from our wait staff. We eat our meals and and wait another half hour to pay. Again, no one came. We had to find someone and they didn’t know what we had so it was a pain. Just ignored for the entire visit. Staff couldn’t be bothered. Also the restaurant is run down, they have menues hanging off the walls with 3M command hooks, the paint is chipped and worn, the bathroom is measy with pee all on the floor. The bathroom water is too hot with no temperature control.
Would not recommend this location. Definitely the worst Boston Pizza I’ve ever been too, and one of the poorest dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The only reason they didn’t get a 1-star is the food was fine. Aside from serving my son’s meal incorrectly (Again, not a special request. That’s why I didn’t ask to separate the noodles from sauce. The menu specifies they come separate.) the food was acceptable and delivered as ordered. But also not...
