We had a dining experience at the Earls in Langley which I can only describe as one of the best dining experiences we have had in absolutely ages. It was my birthday, so the family decided to have a nice dinner here. No real expectations. We were also somewhat wary. Our last family outing to Earls was to the Brentwood location where we ended up leaving due to their inability to take care of our allergy concerns. Basically there was almost nothing we could eat apart from some of the salads.
There was no need for any of us to be concerned. We were warmly greeted at the entrance. Our server, Maddy, was fantastic and took such good care of us. She took care of our allergy concerns. Perhaps it is due to the Langley location being one of the older ones and the Brentwood location being one of the newer ones, but the allergy roadblocks we hit at Brentwood were nowhere to be found here.
I ordered the baby back ribs. My wife ordered the steak frites. We actually both wanted the order the prime sirloin, but they were out of the 7oz steaks. My daughter ordered the margherita pizza.
After Maddy took our order, I joked that we should be hearing back from them that we can't have the fries, but no one came back to see us.
Our food came out and it was amazing! The ribs were fall off the bone, so delicious! My daughter mentioned how great the pizza was. The kicker is that the kitchen gave us an additional 4 oz steak to make up for the fact that we could not have the 7 oz sirloin on my birthday dinner. It was such a nice and thoughtful surprise.
As I mentioned, the food was delicious. We highly recommend all 3 of these dishes.
Afterwards, as we are settling up, Maddy came by to offer us some birthday dessert, which I actually declined as I was so full from the meal. Sean, one of the chefs, came out to say happy birthday and let us know that he was making a banana cream pie dessert for us that would take into consideration our allergies.
Honestly, we were all speechless. The service this night is some of the best we have ever had. Often times, my wife and I eat at very high end restaurants only to be disappointed by something. The dining experience here is right at the top.
We really recommend eating here. For us, on this night, it was a perfect dining experience. Maddy, Sean, and the rest of the Kitchen and staff really made the dining experience special.
Obviously, we will be...
Read moreI have been to many Earls locations before but this has got to be the best experience I've had ever!!! 1000% would return to this location. I've never thought of coming here before because there is so much competition in the area when it comes to casual dining. There are a lot of upcoming restaurants opening up in the area so it can be hard to stand out.
Let me tell you why this place was such a great experience.
Food: Came out so quick! I ordered for my 3 year old first, and that came out instantly. Super important for a toddler that has no patience. The quality of food was okay... I wouldn't recommend the sushi. The rice was hard. But everything else was great.
Atmosphere: really great seating. Everything was new. I was expecting it to be outdated but its as if they just opened the restaurant. Lighting was bright enough and everything seemed cozy.
Service: Now the service was the BEST part. We had a reservation so we were greeted and brought to our table instantly. The waiter (Jayden) came few minutes later and was so direct and patient. He would take our order and communicate about how he will put the order in. Then he would check in to see if we needed anything else. I've never known a waiter to be so calm and attentive. I'm used to seeing waiters panic or frantic and forgetting to check in. Jayden gave great recommendations for food and drinks. I asked him for a specific drink and he knew what I was talking about and brought me something to my liking.
After a bunch of appies and entrees, we were given free dessert! It was a great surprise because it was someone's birthday. It probably cost the business nothing to give us dessert, but the gesture was a big deal to us and made it a memorable experience for us. I wish other restaurants would recognize this and do this for their guests more often.
Overall, I will be coming to this Earls more often! It was a better experience compared to the other Earls locations and a great service experience compared to the...
Read moreDisappointing Customer Service Experience at Earls Kitchen + Bar in Langley
As a regular customer of Earls Kitchen + Bar at the White Rock location, I was deeply disappointed by my recent visit to the Langley branch.
Upon arrival, I experienced a lack of acknowledgment from the staff, despite being clearly visible and waiting to be seated. The indifference and lack of greeting from the employees were concerning, especially given my previous positive experiences at other locations. When I was finally seated by a seemingly disinterested staff member, I hoped for a better experience, but unfortunately, it only went downhill from there.
Despite requesting that my order be served sequentially, all the dishes arrived at once, disrupting the flow of the meal. Additionally, the quality of the food did not meet the standards I had come to expect from Earls. However, the most disappointing aspect of the visit was the attitude and behavior of the staff member who delivered the food. Not only did she fail to provide any information about the dishes, but her demeanor was also dismissive and unprofessional.
As someone with over a decade of experience in management positions within the hospitality industry, I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and customer care demonstrated by the staff at Earls Kitchen + Bar in Langley. It is unacceptable for any establishment to allow such behavior towards customers, regardless of their background or mood. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and questioning the standards of...
