Decided to give them a try because we had an UberEats coupon. Checked their menu through the app and decided on the Spicy Pork Stir Fry which claimed to come with rice, traditional Korean sides (pickles, kimchi) and our choice of another side. So I picked udon noodles. I then ordered the Beef Short Ribs which should come with the things I just mentioned plus another specialty side of my choice as per the app. I chose fried rice.
They marked it as ready for pick up 5 min after we placed the order. The app suggested they take 30 min. We were on a walk and decided to place the order while we were walking so it would give them time to prepare. I guarantee the order wasn’t ready. Regardless we started walking back to the car.
10 min after placing the order they claimed the order had been completed. Meaning picked up. So I called to make sure they still had the order. They did. So they falsely prompted the app again. It was during that phone call the clerk decided to tell me that I need to pay an extra of $4 per specialty side and the app is wrong.
I told her I decided on my order via the app. I payed for what I decided on based on the information from the app. You can’t just tell me that I now owe you $8 +tax. I had to raise my voice for her to understand that is bad business. She said it’s fine and I don’t have to pay extra.
I picked it up and took it home only to realize they removed our two sides of white rice. To them I guess that’s their way of justifying giving us what was promised. This is not how you do business. It’s the pandemic. You should be grateful customers are giving you support. And this is how you repay your only customers (I’m sure) all evening?
Now let me talk about the food. I eat at a lot of Korean restaurants and I’m very well versed in the cuisine. This was bar none the WORST Kimchi I’ve ever had. If you are a Korean Restaurant and you don’t have decent Kimchi, what’s the point? Just close your doors.
The Beef was old, tough, and shiny. There was not enough food for what we paid and the taste and cooking was sub par.
Given this whole experience I will never come here again. I will also tell everyone I know not to support this...
Read moreReally nice atmosphere, decent food (but over priced) with an absolute clueless waitress.
Went in with my daughter and right off the bat after being seated she didn't think we needed two menus...just the one menu that was already at the table. That's okay no biggie. After asking for the second menu I think she came up to us three times in 5 minutes asking us if we were ready to order (also note that we were the only ones there). After ordering she brings us the tea and for the 30-45minutes we were there didn't come back once to ask if everything was okay or if we needed more tea. Half way through though my daughter asks for water and she brings us a pitcher of water with no cups (I guess she expected us to pour the water into the tea cups we had that still had tea in them?). Waved her down after and asked if we could have cups for the water....she brings one tea cup fills it up and then takes the water pitcher away....ha my goodness. Even at the end when I said we were ready for the bill she asks us me to come up to pay on a clover device that is mobile so that you can bring to each table. No thank you for coming or if everything was okay. Almost a perfect model of how not to be as a waitress. It's not like she seemed new or anything either. Just either lazy or a completely clueless person who knows nothing about customer service. The worst part too was she was watching me pay so i felt obligated to tip 15% (the lowest tipping option) which I completely regret now.
The food itself was presented pretty well. However, the meat was a bit tough for my liking (ordered the seared pork belly and marinated pork bone). The tofu soup was okay but their definition of seafood is throwing three small shrimp into the soup. Over priced for what you get in my opinion.
Don't think I would come...
Read moreWe are new in town & have a party of four people on a not so busy Sunday were pleasantly surprised with friendly service, good side dishes and well prepared entries. The decors & atmosphere is modern and clean. The kimchi side is nicely fermented and not too old or new, pumpkin egg salad has great flavour, bean sprout is also fresh, and tried the black beans first time in a side dish. We ordered pork bone soup, seafood pancake, and stone pot. Seafood pancake is just perfectly done without overly burned to my liking. Pork bone soup has lot of flavours but not overly salty so we still felt comfortable after dinner without having to drink too much water to quench thirst. We felt this is how it will be done if you're eating at home as everything was prepared in attentive manner and we highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back as well! Excellent work! Our visit after after the new year was equally impressive this time. Happy...
