Update (January 2025): What's crazy is that If I go to any other restauraunt, I can get any sauce on any burger or item within reason. If you try to add one sauce from a different burger to another here, you either have to wait for a manager to come over or you just aren't allowed. They basically will only remove things for allergies, and even then they usually mess up. UPDATE(May 25th 2023): All the things bellow are still true, but it's probably even worse now. Expect 10-30 minute waits on simple 2 cheese burger orders. Don't order past 7pm. Staff are unable to make simple alterations for allergies. This place is not very food safe! DQ just opened, and they already seem far more professional, which is hard to say as McDonald's in trail used to be much more trustworthy.

Manager was very rude. Ordered an altered mcdouble, only mustard only onions with no seasoning. Got a mcdouble with seasoning and only ketchup. When I asked for it to be fixed, she wasn't very kind and asked me to toss my food.
Regardless of reasons, no other restaurants in the area will ask you to throw out your food that THEY messed up. If you see a manager whose name tag is Navjot, please order simple food that isn't altered and you will probably not have a bad experience.
By the time they fixed it the rest of my friends food got cold, so expect slower times. If you want to order big hot meals the best plan is to order inside if it's open. If you order through drive through always double check your food.

Read moreI come here daily for large iced coffee for years now. The girl handed me a medium. I told her "excuse me, I'm pretty sure this is a medium, and I ordered a large" the whole time I'm being perfectly pleasant. She replies with "no it's not. This is a large." I tell her I've been coming here for years and have gotten a large every single day, and i asked if they changed their sizes. She SNAPS at me and said "NO I promise you that is a large." And turns around and completely ignores me. I flagged down another employee since the other girl is ignoring me and asked if they changed their sizes and what size my drink was, and he said medium! He then told the original girl to fix it and make sure she's giving the right sizes. She then almost literally throws the correct sized drink at me and leaves without saying a word.
That employee seriously needs to learn how to treat not just customers, but people in general, as she was also snippy with the other employee who asked...

I don't know if this particular restraunt is always as busy (granted it was 12:45PM) as it was when my husband, 2 friends & I went for lunch (I didn't actually get anything, not a fan of McD's), but not being a resident of Trail the signage was severely lacking. The drive thru sign took me through the parking lot only to discover I should have went around & gotten in line where there was a huge wall plastered in signs saying 'Do Not Park Here'. A further quick explanation like 'ONLY for Drive-Thru Customers' or 'Line-Up for Drive-Thru Customers' would have been super helpful. I ended up parking & everyone ordered from inside, but I was pretty close to saying nevermind, a huge chain like this & they can't be bothered to put up a few extra words to help out-of-towners navigate their line-up.
