I don’t usually write reviews but I feel the need to share experience and thoughts and hope the owner of this location or the head office of a&w will take this for future knowledge to better their service, atmosphere as well as their sanitation needs. I wouldn’t even give this location a star under these reasons followed.
SANITATION I’m not sure if they are aware of the food by laws but from other locations or fast foods I have been to, I recall they use gloves to prep consumers food and have proper stations to prepare meals. Using bare hands with uncut nails is highly concerning. I did not notice hands being washed or counters cleaned before prepping. This calls for a food safe concern towards bacteria and cross contamination.
SERVICE This is a fast food joint, food was quick don’t get me wrong. But to have to repeat my order several times and still not be understood is unacceptable. First couple times ok, maybe she didn’t hear me clearly. But to also incorrectly give me my order as well is a bit frustrating. A simple sorry will go along way. I mean McDonalds smiles are free with your meal (:
LOCATION This is an ideal location that is located at a skytrain station so this should be a quick grab and go food joint. I guess because of location it deserves a 1 star but I drive and live down the street, I would rather drive to another location for better service, a clean meal and a well contempt team. Due to the location with high traffic a proper team with fast food skills is required.
TEAM Employees don’t seem to understand and unaware of service and management team needs to work on these flaws. HR is definitely needed to find a suitable team for this high traffic fast food joint (hence HR is able to help you hire the appropriate employees). A team manager to run the floor and train these employees properly. I would suggest resourcing a team that has moved or experience in this industry for some time nowz
FOOD A&W is usually a good meal with no complaints and no regrets even if something is missed. I had a breakfast sandwich as my egg was drenched in grease dripping. An easy fix but it happens so it’s okay. Every...

Apr 30th, ordered via Ubereats pick up so I don't need to wait, I can just show tell them the app, get my food and go. But when I went there to pickup my food, they didn't even start my order yet. If you're taking longer, please update the app, the app said ready. I had to wait about 10 mins for my food. I choose to pay extra on Ubereats for the convenience but I paid extra for nothing.
May 7th, told cashier I want 1 order of sausages which come with 3 in total. Did tell her about 3 times that is 1 order but she did put in 1 piece of sausage instead. Putting in 1 order of sausage vs ordering sausages separately is cheaper, for them to resolved the issue they need to charge me more for the sausages since they can't entered 1 order of sausages anymore and gave me an apple pie. I appreciate them doing something but to make the customer pay more which wasn't your fault is ridiculous. They could just made the two extra sausages for free. This is not my fault and I need to end up paying more for them to fixed it
Last 2 times I went to this a&w, I ended up paying more than...
Read moreHello friends,
I’ll start by saying that I really love your burgers and this great restaurant with its amazing team. However, a very unfortunate situation happened.
I ordered burgers through the Uber Eats app, but there was an error, and instead of ordering two burgers, I accidentally ordered four. I asked the cashier at the restaurant to cancel my order, but she told me that she couldn’t do it and that only I could cancel it from my phone.
I asked her to show me how to do it, but I think she misunderstood me. She took my phone and canceled the order herself. I then called Uber support, and it turned out that they don’t refund money for canceled orders.
So now, I have neither the burgers nor my money. The employee canceled my order without asking if I actually wanted to cancel it.
Wow. If the manager sees this message,...
