This has quickly become my go-to spot for taking my friends for lunch or dinner since moving in the kerrisdale area!!🥰 I noticed today that they’ve changed their menu since the last time i went, which was a few months ago. But I don’t notice any big price adjustments so it’s all good.
As with every time i’ve come here, i ordered their hand pulled noodles with their combo ($19) which also included shredded potatoes and a soft drink. My friend ordered the kung pao chicken and it was bomb as well!!! As I was sitting there with my friend who has also been going to this restaurant for a long time (about 6 years), we noticed that their quality of food is always consistently AMAZING❤️ Their portion is really generous for the price you’re paying. And I also like how you can see the chef actually hand-pulling the noodles and stir-frying🔥🔥🔥your dishes right through the glass window inside the store. It’s pretty cool and nice to see your food being made fresh right in front of your seats😆
But anyway, I would definitely recommend anyone to try out this restaurant!! They have so many variety of chinese food in there that i’m making a promise to myself i’m gna try something else next time i go😅😆but yes, 10/10 recommend this restaurant!!!🔥🔥(lowkey i would definitely want to try the lamb skewers next...
Read morecame here with my husband probably during the 1st or 2nd week of opening since all the "grand opening/welcoming" flowers were still out. wish i yelped before eating here. we both ordered the basic beef noodle except my husband ordered an extra side of meat. my basic beef noodle had about 10% meat. my husband who ordered extra beef got what most restaurants would give you as part of a regular serving of meat. needless to say he was not full. the soup was flavourful-thats the only good thing i have to say about this place. the meat was basically very small cubes, almost like table scrap size in my noodles. theres the chef hand making noodles through the glass window but I don't really care for gimmicks like that. about 3 different staff came and asked us how the food was (unusual for a chinese restaurant), i wonder if its because my husband is non chinese? I never seem to get that kind of service having eaten in chinese restaurants my whole life lol! very very very poor value for money, you're paying for carbs & soup basically, definitely won't return or recommend to anyone. the staff are interesting, not your typical wait staff, they were wearing random "rich kid trendy clothing" and standing around, hard to tell if they were the owners friends or actually working...
Read moreFamily and I had upset stomaches after dining here yesterday, won’t be back again. Used to love visiting here frequently over the years when they opened (more than 5+ times) but this last visit left a sour taste in my mouth, big plate chicken had a bit of a sour taste that I’ve never tasted before (different chef/vinegar/spoiled ingredients?), but anyways not down to find out. Highly not recommended, there are many other restaurants where you can find the same cuisine. Don’t forget to look at all the mass purchased 4-5 star reviews where these accounts have less than 5 reviews total, you’ll find lots. Edit: As a local reviewer, I was merely updating my experience from a few months ago based on my opinion. It’s sad you only choose to respond now and funny that you think I would waste my time and resources to state my opinion multiple times, maybe you should read what everybody else is writing instead of pretending there’s only one...
