⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best, Most Authentic Shawarma—A Must-Try!

I’ve finally found the real deal—the original, authentic Arab Shawarma—right here at Damaskino Shawarma! As someone from the Middle East and a true foodie who has tried Shawarma from countless places, I can confidently say that this is how Shawarma is meant to be!

I’ve only ever found two places that serve the real, original Shawarma: Al Basha Original in Richmond and now, thankfully, Damaskino in Downtown. I’m beyond thrilled they’ve opened here, and I truly hope they stay forever!

To everyone reading this: TRUST ME. Try the Shawarma at Damaskino, and you’ll never look back. This is the original taste, the one that all other places should be following! You’ll never regret it—you’ll be coming back again and again!

I’ve tried many other Shawarma places before, but unfortunately, most of them don’t even understand the real Arabian style. Instead, they mix things up in a way that makes it feel more like a Subway sandwich than true Shawarma! But at Damaskino, they stick to the authentic way, and that’s what makes all the difference.

The staff? Absolutely outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. And make sure to meet Anas, one of the amazing team members managing the restaurant. He’s so friendly, gentle, and truly charming—he makes the experience even better!

I’ve already added this place to my list of favorites!

Go try it. You won’t just love...

This place was just okay, pretty average overall. The sauce wasn’t good at all and tasted cheap. The worst part was the customer service. We ordered a chicken shawarma but were given something completely different. When we pointed it out, they refused to acknowledge the mistake and said it was already made (we still waited 7 minutes for our “made” food). We decided to let it go and still try to enjoy the food, but unfortunately, it wasn’t good.

While we were waiting in line, another customer asked for no pickles. Instead of handling it politely, the cashier demanded to see his receipt and loudly said he never mentioned it. When the receipt clearly showed “no pickles,” the cashier just said, “Okay, I’ll remake it,” with no apology. Their attitude really made the experience worse.

Honestly, this seems like the kind of place that will only get one time customers. The crunchy shawarmas might be trending on TikTok right now, but with service this bad and food that’s not even good, I don’t see myself...

I’d like to take the chance to share my visit experience to Damaskino Shawarma for the first time.

We were visiting from Toronto and were advised to visit by a friend. As soon as we stepped into the store, we were welcomed, greeted with a great smile by the outstanding staff that works inside.

We didn’t know what to order, everything looked really good and we just wanted to try everything. A gentleman from the staff then recommended the food items for us and we definitely were amazed by the outstanding service we received.

We were served with the food in a very short amount of waiting time considering that everything was made fresh upon order.

The food looked great, the test was amazing. We loved how tender the chicken and beef were. The sandwiches were crispy, fresh and delicious. We loved how fresh the falafel was. The appetizers were a different story, very authentic. We were amazed by how generous they are with their portions.
