A Stunning Oasis of Nature. My visit to Devonian Harbour Park was nothing short of spectacular. This beautiful park, nestled in the heart of Vancouver, offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and serene ambiance, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.

The first thing that struck me about Devonian Harbour Park was its breathtaking scenery. The lush greenery, vibrant flowerbeds, and tranquil waterfront views create a picturesque setting that is perfect for relaxation and reflection. The well-maintained lawns and pathways invite you to take leisurely strolls while soaking in the stunning views of the harbor and surrounding mountains.

One of the standout features of the park is its diverse range of amenities. There are numerous benches and picnic areas where you can sit and enjoy the scenery or have a meal with family and friends. The park is also equipped with well-maintained restrooms and ample trash bins, ensuring that it remains clean and inviting for all visitors.

Devonian Harbour Park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The wide open spaces are perfect for recreational activities such as frisbee, soccer, and yoga. The park’s location along the waterfront also makes it an ideal spot for jogging, cycling, and taking in the fresh sea air. The nearby marina adds to the charm, providing opportunities to watch boats and yachts as they come and go.

The park is incredibly family-friendly, with plenty of space for children to play and explore. The safe, open areas allow kids to run around freely, and the serene environment is perfect for family outings. Additionally, the park is dog-friendly, making it a great place to bring your furry friends for a walk or playtime.

The landscaping and attention to detail throughout the park are truly impressive. The diverse plant life, including a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers, creates a rich tapestry of colors and textures that change with the seasons. The park’s design seamlessly integrates natural elements with thoughtful human touches, making it a true urban oasis.

One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible views of the harbor and mountains. The vantage points throughout the park offer stunning photo opportunities, and the peaceful waterfront setting provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Watching the sunset over the harbor was a magical experience that I will cherish.

In summary, Park is a stunning oasis of nature in the heart of Vancouver. Its beautiful scenery, diverse amenities, and serene ambiance make it a perfect destination for relaxation, recreation, and family fun. I highly recommend visiting this park for a truly memorable...

This elegant park offers many peaceful seating areas and serves as a gateway between Stanley Park and Coal Harbour. Devonian Harbour Park offers something for everyone, whether throwing a ball on the rolling lawns, enjoying the magical views of the harbour and pond, or contemplating the interesting sculptures.

The entrance to Stanley Park was for years the subject of much controversy with plans of development then finally in 1984 after the dedicated work of the Save Our Parkland Association in conjunction with the Park Board and along with a generous donation of over $600,000 from the Devonian Foundation in Alberta, the property was saved.

This park was once the location of the Denman Arena which was the home of the Vancouver Millionaires who won the Stanley cup here in 1915. They beat the Ottawa Senators. The arena was destroyed by fire in 1936. In 1927, the 2,500 seat Denman Auditorium was built next to the Arena. The Auditorium, which was multi-purpose, survived the fire of 1936 and was renovated in 1952. It re-opened on September 10, 1952 as the Georgia Auditorium concert hall. It only lasted seven years before it was demolished in 1959, after the construction of the Queen...

After doing a boat tour of the Vancouver Harbour by the paddle boat of Harbour Cruises we decided to relax for a while. We found this nice little park with benches just outside the entrance gate of the Harbour Cruises dock. There were some trees and a lawn and we sat down on a bench in the shade and ate our picnic lunch which we had brought with us. Being very close to Stanley Park and the Seawall walk, which is an extension from the Coal Harbour seawalk trail, we saw a lot of people hiking or biking along to Stanley Park and back. There were good views of the Coal Harbour section with the ships sailing in and out. We enjoyed our brief moments of relaxation and refreshments sitting in Devonian Park.

Walk here year-round, such a gem at the edge of the city, leading into Stanley Park. The trees are gorgeous in the fall! So many nice colors, including some Bald Cypress trees, coniferous trees that lose their needles each fall, much like leaves. Features include a variety of seawall walkway, gardens, pond, sculptures/artwork and gorgeous views. There’s an information booth, with restrooms, a short distance down the seawall where you can also catch a horse-drawn tour, or just say hello to the draft horses.
