Donair Affair — Restaurant in Vancouver

After having had a dinner there for first time, I agree with other posters that have said probably many of the 4-5 Star reviews are fakes. Here’s our honest take for someone whose never written a bad review poor quality meat ((for beef & lamb) lamb tasted like a warmed up hot dog) too much sauce (they add this sweet ranch sauce almost identical to Fresh Slice pizza, it’s terrible as a sauce on a rice dish) very small portions (for a few bucks less get more at Chipotle, for a few bucks more get more and better quality at other Falafel spots in Surrey/South Surrey)

Update 7/22/2025 --- this one is tough because certain things are solidly Okay here, some are not-so-legit. I recommend the rice/meat platter (the sauce was just too much, though, it threatened to make this soup!) I also tried the Mayan wrap and it was... not so great. I felt like this was trying too hard to be a burrito but lacked any heat, salsa or real flavor (the tomato salsa was like a roja Sriracha sauce... not really authentic 😕). After reading the mixed reviews we decided to give it a try. I mentioned to the server before ordering this was my first time here and the reviews on this location was that the food is cold, so could she make sure the food is hot. After a super short drive home, alas the food was cold, the meat was not even luke warm. I ordered a super lamb donair, there was not a lot of meat inside. The other order was a chicken donair which was uneatable without cutlery as the pita split as soon as you picked it up.
