A 24 hour coffee/donut/and so much more shop. The 'fast food' is inexpensive, but undeniably very tasty. And the variety on the menu will have you contemplating what to order...here are my favs. The French fries...cooked, then battered and seasoned and deep fried to become the perfectly golden twice baked french fries that are amazing. And the mountain they serve you is enough to fill you up single handedly. Next is the chicken viet sub.. I'm including a pic of what remains of mine. The bread is fresh. And the ingredients are so fresh. I would never tire of this Sandwhich. For dessert, there are many donuts to choose from...and unlike tim hortons or any chain donut shop, they dont make 2 dozen and run out mid day and then have every customer leave disappointed because their first 3 choices were sold out. They have mountains of donuts the entire day AND night. My fav is the apple fritter. Its 80 cents more than the other donuts, but it will knock your socks off. It dosent have gooey sugary syrupy smudge on it like other donut destinations. It has the same coating, but for some reason, it stays semi solid. Dry on the outer most part and soft against the inner layer. Your fingers wont become a sticky mess. One thing about duffins, which I find positive, but some people consider a negative aspect, is that there is ALWAYS a lineup.to me, this speaks for itself. Everybody enjoys the food..the decor is nothing to write home about so I won't talk much about it here.it looks like a Tim hortons from 1983. While Tim's HAS to renovate their look to soften the blow of their mediocre menu, Duffins doesn't. I dont think any person there is judging or frowning at the 1982 atmosphere. Hopefully this reads positively because that's a huge compliment for Duffins. The service is 5 stars everytime I go...it could be a 50 person lineup right out of the doors with orders flying to the kitchen staff working both tills to serve everybody...they always greet with a smile and never make u feel rushed. They answer any questions and take your order and then hand you a number if you ordered more than donuts. Different menu items take different amounts of time. For the fries and sub, I believe 5 or 6 is all I waited. There are some tables you can sit at or , like most people, just stand and wait My only complaint about Duffins is the parking lot is a little small...sometimes parking is a bit nightmarish. Narrow spaces, very few parking spots ...this is not in Duffins control to change so maybe knock that small complaint off the record. I'll just leave it in so your prepared to wait 5m min for a spot to open up...overall a good vibe donut shop, with a vintage donut shop aura, and a great diverse generous menu...

UPDATE: The issue has resolved itself; seems to had been a fluke and boy genius never to be seen again, as if a bad dream. Btw, some real honest to goodness beautiful people working the tills at this place 🄓 sorry, not tryna objectify anyone but facts is facts. Back to the issue at hand.. the grub.. today I did the grouse grind, a section of the sea wall and ended the day at wreck beach with 8 tequila coolers.. nothing.. and I mean nothing hits like a 3 piece and a proper portion of rice + three (no more, no less) plum/soy sauces, a coconut bbt w/ coconut jelly, and an apple turn over ( your choice of drink/pastry ofc). But seriously, you hit all you macros in one spot. Original review: I usually order the three piece and rice for the sole reason I usally get tons of rice, like Michael Phelps-mid-Olympics-diet amounts, and everyone knows that's a good thing because we gobble it right up. My Asian peeps know whats up.. yes you putting plum sauce on the spicy chicken.. oops 🤭 monkey's out the bottle, secret menu hack revealed. Anyway, that used to be until today, when some genius behind the counter decided to give me the childrens' portion, because 'that's the way they always done it'.. NUH UH!!1! What am I supposed to say? Sorry, gainz/sore muscles, not today šŸ˜” Looks like a trip to Duffins after a day at the beach/gym is becoming less enticing for us feeling the crunch.

Very disappointed in what is my first and probably last visit to Duffins donuts. Having lived in the area for 6 years, I know it’s a South/East Van staple and has a cult following. I got half a dozen donuts for $10, a full dozen would be $19. This price is on par, or slightly higher than other donut places like Krispy Kreme. However, Duffins doesn’t accept Credit cards, only debit or cash. I know it’s because of merchant fees, but given their prices and how popular they are, they should start accepting credit cards because they can absolutely afford to. What’s worse, and in my opinion unacceptable is the condition of their bathroom. Not just because it wasn’t clean but because the owners have not maintained it at all. The walls are falling apart and the insulation inside the walls is coming out. There’s graffiti all over and the bathroom is just in a shameful condition. Customers may not be able to see inside the kitchen but they can extrapolate how it might be based on the bathroom and the inside of the restaurant. I have attached photos to my review so others can get a better idea. Their slogan is ā€œcome in for a better tasteā€ but the poor state of their bathroom, their service, and payment restriction left a bad taste in my mouth.

The food is pretty damn good, it won't blow you away. But it's very fairly priced. The tortas and subs are pretty cheap but also are on the small side. So I usually have to end up buying more food and then the total ends up being closer to what most places are for a meal. At least they have a cheap option if you aren't super hungry unlike most places. Ironically, I find the donuts to be very mediocre.

I like the menu selection. It's a hodge podge. They have many different subs to choose from, they have fried chicken, they have spring rolls, boba, among other things. It's a pretty eclectic mix. I would say the Fried Chicken is the best thing here in terms of price and quality. Fried Chicken has gotten so damn expensive at other places.

Overall a very solid place to go get a meal and their hours are really good. It's pretty busy quite often and the vibe is pretty relaxed, everyone seems in a good mood when they're there and everyone is friendly.

Makes me wonder why some businesses don't adopt this friendly service... Like Brekka Bakery comes to mind, it's almost like they tell their staff that they aren't allowed to be cheery or polite. They never smile, or even respond when you say thank you. They hand you the food and walk away like dealing with you is a chore. So pretentious and uptight. Mostly... Some of their staff is nice. But Duffin Donuts, the vibe is always welcoming. They are always very friendly here. Very chill.

They aren't 24/7 like some reviews have erroneously assumed.. They are 24/2. As in, they stay open throughout the weekend. During the week they close up at midnight. Still, the hours are really...

The store location is close to our home, we always visit at night to grab some midnight snacks last Wednesday we had a very very rude asian cashier (vietnamese lady) who doesn' t know the proper way of serving customer, she has no etiquete or right conduct no manners don't know the words respect she doessn't have a proper way training for doing a transaction on the counter. I had been a manager of retails and big food chain industry and the asain (vietnamese lady) staff was totally no idea of the proper way of serving customer bouncing on the counter for not knowing the porper way of serving the customer. Wr are standing in front for a long time instead if helping us first, she grab those two side order for delivery pick up ignoring us standing in front and waitng. When its our turn on our middle of transacrion she start grabing two apple strudell and yet we are not done for our transaction order, i said excuse me we are not done yet for our order. She snaps on us while we are paying. She came out and handed to us the box of donut she said to our face to respect her she is so clueless of her action.instead if apologizing to us she told us we yell at her. Excuse me is nit a yellibg its a way of saying ti catch the persons attention. Again she is rude. She is making a big scene. Customers who are there and overlooking the senario was shooked their head and tild us that your staff really is no manner and rude as it hapoebs to them as well, and when she serve them they tried ro get another acshier for service.Just an FYI... you must finish the transaction first before...
