Freshslice Pizza near Nanaimo St. — Restaurant in Vancouver

I have been a regular customer at this store, but my new recent visit, few days ago have been consistently disappointing, especially due to the behavior of one of the male employees currently working there. During my most recent visit, there were two staff members present, and the male employee was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked for ice, he ignored me completely. His overall demeanor made me feel very uncomfortable — to the point where I genuinely felt afraid to speak further, as it seemed like he might react aggressively.

Additionally, I ordered a few pizza slices which were heated by the short, fat, dark complexion female staff member. Unfortunately, the slices were completely burnt and tasted stale, as if they had been sitting out for a long time. This is not the quality I expect, especially after spending around $20. When i asked to the guy about the slices were burnt and asked about the manager he replied to me in very rude tone that you asked me for heating it again , as i am a regular customer here , the lady knows me well also i thinks that she is the senior here but she didn’t took any action at that time.

What’s even more concerning is that this is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience with this particular employee. Last week, he gave me disrespectful looks and acted very unprofessionally. It seems that he is uninterested to serve me. It’s unacceptable to feel disrespected or uncomfortable in a customer-facing environment.

I also observed an older woman who asked to use the washroom and was told it was "out of order." The staff's attitude in general was dismissive and uninterested in providing good customer service.

According to their conversations and their frustration with each other seems to affect how they treat customers. Very poor customer service i got there.

This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will not be visiting this location again. I hope you take this feedback seriously and investigate the matter further. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and provided with fresh, quality food — not to be made to feel uncomfortable or...

The place is nice and tidy, and the servers were friendly.

I ordered vegetarian pizzas but was disappointed with the handling of the ingredients. The girl making the pizza didn't use gloves and I didn't see her wash her hands between handling the veg and non-veg pizzas. She even made a pizza with non-veg toppings right before finishing mine, which resulted in cross-contamination. Additionally, I didn't receive my drink and only realized it when I got home. Moreover, the medium pizzas were placed directly on the belt instead of using a pan first. The cutter was only cleaned once, and there should be separate color-coded cutters for veg and non-veg.

I hope someone can educate the staff about food safety, cross-contamination, and basic hygiene. It was disappointing, and I don't plan on returning. Apologies for the negative review.

UPDATE: Freshslice management reached out promptly regarding my concerns, and I received a response from the branch manager, Simmi. I'm pleased to learn that Freshslice has a policy in place for team members to wash their hands or wear gloves after handling meat, showing their commitment to food safety. Simmi acknowledged the issue and expressed genuine willingness to rectify the situation. I will consider revisiting the establishment in the future and update overall rating further.

I don’t love fresh slice pizza but every now and then I could have a good slice of pizza from there. This was my first time trying this location! We placed an order for customized chicken pizza, and the cheese pizza. Chicken pizza only had chicken, onions, green peppers. We were so disappointed to receive soggy pizzas, Especially the chicken one couldn’t hold itself. Also, they forgot to pack my apple juice. The order was for pick up, but we were sitting right outside the restaurant the whole time as we were already in the neighbourhood. Since it was late night, We couldn’t wait for them to make more pizzas. I’m not sure if this was a one time thing, but I’ll never go back to this location.
