Momiji Garden — Attraction in Vancouver

Momiji Garden not so popular hidden gem for a Japanese Garden within Hasting Park excellent birdwatching opportunities. Momiji Gardens is located on the south side of the Garden Auditorium building, along East Hastings Street of PNE

This Japanese-styled garden reminds us of the detention and internment of Japanese-Canadians during the Second World War. Japanese-Canadians were temporarily detained in many of the exhibition buildings in Hastings Park before being transported to various interment camps around the province.

Closed off from public each year when Playland open. There is a walkway with tree shade when walking to Playland purple entrance (Hastings area). Will post update in fall when park opens after Playland season done...
