This is an old school no-frills bubble tea shop. The prices are a major throwback - I think all the drinks are less than $5 and one topping is included. They also have ice cream, bubble waffles, and light meals/snacks like fish balls with rice. They always have weekly special drinks with interesting combinations of flavours. I stopped in and grabbed one of this week's specials, lychee rose cheesecake. I liked the flavour and it did taste like cheesecake, but was really sweet, more than I would have preferred. The pearls were great - they were cooked to be soft but still chewy. I just took my drink to go, but they do have some tables in the cafe with board/card games to borrow. A good place to visit for a nostalgic bubble tea fix or just a cheap treat.

Family run bubble tea store with the best value you'll ever find in the city. My girlfriend and I went here because we were craving some bubble tea nearby. The place looked sketchy from the outside, but you can never judge a book by its cover. The family working inside were the sweetest people you could ever meet. We got a mango smoothie, a classic milk tea, and a bubble waffle... all for 15 bucks??? In this economy, that is pretty much unheard of. Basic toppings such as tapioca pearls and coconut jelly are FREE, and the fruit/ingredients are truly fresh as they make everything directly in front of you. The pearls were average, but everything else was fantastic. Truly a gem of a place, and I hope this local business prospers.

I love hotcha cafe so much!! it's my comfort food shop I SERIOUSLY recommend their curry meatballs, so flavourful, and the curry is literally better than some Indian places I've been to the flavour reminds me of the curry i'd get back in Malaysia for breakfast the outside of the thick toast is a little hard but the inside is SERIOUSLY SOFT, and the toasted butter on top is delicious I will definitely get this again, I got so much leftover condensed milk to eat too! I usually also get their smoothies, my favourite is the taro one and the durian one The choco banana is sometimes hit or miss but I love buying it to take home, freezing it, and eating it as a frozen treat later hahah

Visiting from out-of-town - I was glad that I visited per the high reviews here. The menu has straightforward flavors, but offers a wide range to satisfy any customer. There are also some seasonal specialty drink options listed at the register, which I regret not noticing until I already ordered.

I got a Fresh Hot Taro Boba and my friend got an Avocado Smoothie Boba. Both were very good! The boba for both had a nice chew and had the right amount of sweetness to them. The hot, lightly-blended taro had a good balance of texture to liquid. The avocado smoothie was made with freshly cut avos. That one was really good being not too sweet and refreshing!

The owners were really nice and chill, knowing what to do already. We received excellent customer service.

The seating and interior is not as polished and branded compared to the neighboring boba shop, but don’t let that deter you from visiting this place. Because the drinks were so good. Tables and chairs are...

Hot Cha is the only bubble tea place in town that I go to. I almost always get the same bubble tea which is a large milk pearl tea with no ice and very little sugar. At other bubble tea places, even when I ask for no sugar, my drink comes out super sweet. At Hot Cha Cafe, I can really control the amount of sugar with my milk tea. Also, their pearls are always fresh, and the owners always rush to make my drink whether there is a line up or not. Their large weekly specials are under $5, and I don't think I have seen that kind of pricing anywhere in Vancouver. So, why would I go anywhere else for a bubble tea? I sure don't want to pay $8 for a bubble tea. If you want a nice, cold bubble tea with fresh pearls on a hot summer day for under $5, Hot Cha is the one for you. I always stop there after a game of pickleball or pitch & putt at QE Park....

Hot Cha Cafe is a new place that has popped up only in the last couple of months but already it's become one of my favourite bubble tea places around Vancouver and is quite the hidden gem! Although its decor may not be as fancy as your typical chain bubble tea franchise, Hot Cha Cafe's drinks are delicious and well worth the price which is what really counts. Their pearls also have a great consistency with the perfect amount of chew. I haven't tried too many of the different drinks yet because the green tea ice cream slush has been such a winner for me, but with its kind and efficient customer service coupled with its great tasting drinks, Hot Cha Cafe is definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the Cambie area and craving bubble...
