If you order from this place know that you will have ZERO support from the store if anything goes wrong. Not worth the risk of ruining your evening when just trying to get what you paid for.

I placed an order through Uber Eats in a Buy 1, Get 1 Free. The app didn't show the 2 items after my purchase, even though the process was there and the bill showed I was paying "half price" because I was getting 2 instead of one with the crossed full value and the new value of just one item.

I tried contacting the store on the phone, which took me a few tries until someone actually answered, to let them know that my order is Buy 1, Get 1 Free and the person said that there was nothing he could do, that even though the item was supposed to be free he would not include it in the order and told me that if I had to cancel through the app, which would cancel the order and still charge me full price.

Only wanted to have a meal for two people and ended up being robbed.

Even though they knew the item was FREE they choose not to send it to me knowing I wasn't going to get what I ordered.

Editing to respond to the store reply:

I understand what you are saying, but that was not the experience I had on the phone with the person that spoke to me. He didn't even asked for my name or order, he interrupted me when I was explaining what happened and just said that there was nothing he could do and my only option was to cancel the order (and consequently still be charged for it)

About the Buy One Get one Free, what you said just hasn't been my experience at all with any other store or order. Plus when I added the item to the list, it clearly stated a crossed $54 and a green new value of $27, plus it said "add 2 to order" on the button when I clicked on it.

Also it was a FREE item, it would literally cost the store ZERO dollars to just send and extra burger that I was entitled by the offer. I went through the trouble of contacting the store to let you know about the issue that from this reply you confirm you were already aware of. This might actually be worse in a way.

I agree there's a mistake not caused by your store and if it was already known like you said, the person on the phone pretended to have no idea of it and just told me that "I can only accept the order, anything else you gotta figure out through the app". I appreciate your answer but I stand by my review when it comes to not having any support from the store, specially if the store was already aware that this issue keeps happening and deliberately chose not to add what was supposed to be a FREE ITEM on the...

4/5 stars.

So, It’s Okay Bar? More like, It’s Actually Really Good, But Not Perfect Bar. We came for a casual bite and left feeling like we’d just had an art gallery experience… with food. The grilled cheese? Absolute masterpiece. Not your average, sad sandwich—you can tell it’s been crafted with passion and maybe some secret cheese wizardry. Each bite was intense in the best way possible.

The side garlic smashed potatoes? They were good, but felt like they took a detour through a vat of oil before landing on our plate. Not terrible, but I wanted a little more flavor and a little less grease sheen.

The chicken fingers? Don’t even think about skipping them. These things could have their own Netflix special. Crunchy, juicy, and the perfect golden brown. The curly fries? Next level. I don’t know who’s blessing those fries, but they deserve an award.

As for the atmosphere, it feels like it’s trying to be something—cool, edgy, a little offbeat—but it’s missing a little something. It leans more plain Jane than wow, like it’s got the right ingredients but hasn’t quite nailed the recipe yet. You get the sense that the aesthetic wants to pop more but doesn’t always hit the mark. It’s got potential, but it’s just a little too safe right now.

Overall, great spot. Will definitely be back for that grilled cheese, but maybe pass on the...

Just went here for the first time after a day at the PNE with friends. Thought it was great that their kitchen was open so late compared to other bars.

Of the four of us in the group, three of us ordered food, as well as an order of fries to share at the table. The waitress didn't write anything down of what any of us were ordering, which isn't too out of the ordinary. Afterall, we all got our drinks no problem. But she seemed to be very nonchalant about our food orders. Just really rubbed us the wrong way. Surely enough, one of us got our food. For the next 10 minutes, no one else got their food, until they brought mine out. They never even brought the fries out to the table, which if anything should have been the first thing. So I mentioned it to them again. Another 10 minutes or so and we got a small bowl of fries, smaller than you'd usually expect from an order of fries to share. The third person in our group who had ordered food never ended up getting his meal. Our waitress never ended up checking on us. I had to end up flagging down another staff member to get our bill.

Overall the food was good, especially the curly fries. The atmosphere was nice with retro 80s ads playing on the TV. I'd just like to see better...

Visited It’s Okay on a Friday night around 11 PM. The name fits — my experience was okay overall. The place has a club-like vibe with a DJ playing a mix of 2000s and 2010s R&B, rap, EDM, and some oldies. The music was fun, though the genres jumped around a lot. Getting in was a challenge — I’m wheelchair-bound, and although Google lists the restaurant as accessible, the main entrance wasn’t. It took about 10 minutes before another patron noticed me and helped unlock a second door to make the entrance wide enough. The staff didn’t seem to notice at first. Inside, space was tight. I wasn’t able to reach the washroom due to narrow walkways and closely packed tables, so I couldn’t confirm if it was accessible. The tight layout also meant staff and patrons kept bumping into or kicking my chair as they passed — likely unintentional, but still frustrating. On the plus side, the meatloaf supper with roasted potatoes and coleslaw was really good. The chicken wings, though, were overpriced ($19 for 9 pieces) and over-seasoned. Overall, it’s an okay late-night spot for bar food and cocktails with good music, but accessibility and layout definitely need improvement.

Edit - response to the unprofessional (now deleted) reply from the owner: I actually did bring it up in person and was assured it was correct. Ideally though, it’s not a customers responsibility to help run your establishment correctly. Crappy experience. Ordered some takeout from a pop up they were hosting here. The menu explicitly says the jollof rice is served with suya. They charged extra for it. Now, that would have been forgivable, but then I opened the box to see literally a child’s serving of rice. Not worth the $ at all. And while it wasn’t served by this bar itself, the bar staff should at least make sure they honour the menu that they handed to customers.
