JJ Bean Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Vancouver

I've been getting my coffee from the world's biggest coffee chain for decades. Lately, the oomph, the zap and the sazz has just not been there, and with their bakery, pastries and sandwich options being severely inadequate..... Something pulled me toward JJ Bean....and with it being a local business it made it even a sweeter deal.

I like my coffee strong, black, piping hot and served in a quality cup. So, I just keep it simple. Large Dark Roast with an Everything Bagel, which really hit the spot. The bagel was fresh, tasty and definitely a favourite.

Their Rhubarb Danish took me back to my childhood in Switzerland, as it was a homemade family regular. The carefully blended sweet and sour rhubarb weaved into the perfectly baked pastry finished with toasted almonds.

All of that...followed by a sip of what I can only rightly name as a cup of exquisite ground beans with character....... Yeah....I want my coffee to have character.

JJ Beans has become one of me and my girlfriend's favorite stop for coffee. The place is nice and clean, also offers a great environment if you'd like to just sit, study or read a book. But perhaps the most important thing about JJ Beans is that they consistently serve good quality coffee.

Unlike many other coffee stores out there, consistency is sometimes an issue. And nothing feels worst than starting your day with an underwhelming cup of coffee. The barista's at JJ Bean seem very really trained and really know how to make a good cup of coffee. We really did not know how important a barista was until we had an amazing cup of coffee at Starbucks once. Since then we've been a bit spoil with making sure we find the right coffee shop with trained baristas and we are just glad JJ Bean is a consistent place we can...

I walk past this shop twice daily, and see that it is usually busy. I popped-in today to see what the fuss is about. Loved the coffee. They have a great assortment of what looks like freshly made pastries and sandwiches. The staff here work hard, there is constant customer demand. The tables were not clean and had quite a few dishes. I noticed when they were bringing hot food to the tables, that the staff were returning to their stations empty handed. Looks like there are quite a few people lounging around with their laptops, so finding a place to sit was challenging. I ordered the beyond breakfast wrap with a salad. The salad was amazing, didn't like the wrap though. I would consider comming again and trying something else, when the line-up...
