It serves as a major greenspace to any number of condominium developments as well as a small elementary school located just on its border. On one edge there is a large playground with swing set and play area in sandbox. The field itself is large enough to have multiple soccer fields playing concurrently. Towards the other side of the field there is another large playground area as well as multiple basketball courts and two tennis courts. The park sits right on the boardwalk that connects all the way around false Creek towards science world in One Direction and all the way out to Stanley Park in the other direction. The field is very well maintained for then area which is used by so many people in so many different ways so frequently. The city does a really good job of maintaining it. Also because it is located in the heart of Yale town, one can easily walk from here along Pacific Ave or slightly deeper into downtown to find any selection of coffee shops or places to eat or restaurants or even in grocery stores we could pick up supplies too have a picnic in the park or hang out otherwise. Yell town Canada line service is just down the street and there is good access to transit throughout. The view from this area is wonderful in terms of looking back at the downtown core and all the skyscrapers or looking out over the water towards the South side of false Creek towards City Hall and the hospital and kitsilano. When you can also look out towards the mouth of false Creek into open water.
