Genuinely the most disappointing experience i’ve had, especially because I had previously had positive experiences with take out at least. The staff member with black and green hair was especially rude from the beginning. My girlfriend asked if they were still serving food as it was an hour before closing, and were quickly told it was only take out which was reasonable. However, when we went to pick up our food 15 minutes later we saw that a group of 5 had been sat down, as well as another man who was by himself. My girlfriend asked another waiter why this was the case, and she seemed confused and asked how many as if they were still seating people. The lady with the green and black hair quickly interrupted shouting that “it was already done” with our take out, and my girlfriend re-iterated that she was just curious why another group was seated despite arriving after us. She was arguing back quickly in a loud enough voice that the entire restaurant went quiet, saying that they had a reservation despite us overhearing the group outside debate if they should ask if the restaurant was still serving or if they should order take out because there was no space for them to sit inside. I’d understand if they wanted to sit a large group even if it was late potentially because of the extra tips, but there was also another single man who was seated in the time we were waiting. It’s just disappointing that the staff would rather, seemingly, lie that make up for a misunderstanding or mistake. At least, I’d hope it was a misunderstanding and not a case of homophobia or racism. But I feel like my girlfriend and I were being extremely understanding, thankful, and polite for the entire interaction only to be met with continuous hostility and rudeness, which has unfortunately ruined this otherwise great restaurant for us. I hope that this sort of behaviour isn’t continuously tolerated as it could most definitely be misinterpreted, and most definitely created an uncomfortable environment for both my girlfriend and I, as well as the other...
Read moreHonestly the best sushi place in town, better than those high end ones like Minami ($4, miso soup with nothing in it) and those that are super popular like Sushi California (cold rice). They always make sure you have enough tofu and seaweed in your miso soup, the sushi rice is always warm, soft, and fluffy, all the fried food is freshly fried, the udon is perfectly chewy, and the portion is big and cheap. We come here every week, always ordering almost the exact same things, two koi sushi special combos (which you can order 3 items each and it comes with a miso soup for free). We especially love their perfectly fried agedashi tofu, toro and tai nigiri, hot and soothing chicken udon (and they even put veggies in it), salmon avocado and negitoro roll (which they put real toro inside, not like other stores, just give you regular tuna). And all 6 items are under $30, enough to fill up two big adults, and you even get 10% discount if you pay with cash. I just love this place, wish they'll stay this way during this crazy time...
Read moreThe only problem I have is the front, I didn’t notice that this was a sushi place until I stop in front to reply a text.
That’s that, the food is good tasting. Staff is friendly(yeah there is only 1). Definitely taste better than what I expected. The beef teriyaki is only 13, I always run out of rice cause there is so much meat. The veggie below the beef is edible, unlike other places, the veggies are fried with a little sauce, I always leave a empty plate behind.
The bin toro taste good I’m not too big on tuna but the friends I brought told me that he loved it. House roll has so much ingredients that mixed into a special taste on its own.
Doesn’t have the best oshi but comparing to green sushi on alma this one a is not as oily the which in my terms is better.
The staff is friendly and the place is clean lighting at a good mood. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Out of the four on this streets this taste the best at a competitive...
