Wow, has this place ever gone downhill since the original owners years ago! I went there for the first time in years. This used to be a lovely community café with their standard black bean soup. I was absolutely shocked with the food and presentation and the attitude of the people working there. I ordered a ‘small’ bowl of soup. It came in the tiniest bowl. Stark white bowl on a white plate with literally less than half a cup of potato soup. Not even a piece of bread on the side. Dismal presentation. I asked the person who took my order is there any bread or anything that comes with it? He reluctantly said “ OK you can have a piece of bread” and then threw a piece of very stale hard bread on the side. The bread was not included until I asked for it. Seriously are you trying to save a few cents by not giving someone a piece of bread with their soup? Half a cup of soup and a stale piece of yesterday’s bread all for the bargain of seven dollars! Honestly, the amount of soup was so peculiarly small that I almost thought it was a joke. It wouldn’t be enough to fill a two-year-old’s stomach. I politely mentioned this to someone making coffees who appeared to be a manager, but who knows? I told him about how I had to ask for a piece of bread, and the piece of bread I got was stale… And what about their portions? I tried to be polite to convey this to him that I felt really ripped off at his establishment. He had the worst attitude. Basically agreed with me that the bread was stale and I was lucky to get a piece at all, and made no comment of refunding or providing extra service to make me feel happier about my purchase or my visit there. I felt sincerely ripped off. This is not the way to treat Members of the community that you serve. Is there no such thing as a decent bowl of soup anymore? Also, the soup was seriously bland and lacking flavour. This place was so...

This is my go-to coffee place on Main Street (which is quite a feat, since there are some other absolutely incredible cafes on Main which I will/have reviewed). The coffee is always made incredibly well (they use Elysian Coffee beans), the food is delicious, and they always have soup! During an era of endless choices and customizations, I TRULY appreciate the limited selection at this cafe; that's not to say they don't have options to choose from, but they do not present endless permutations of food and drink.

This place has a wonderful vibe. It's bright and open, there are benches and tables outside near the trees, and it just feels homey. It makes you feel happy, rain or shine. This is a great place to catch up with a friend, grab a snack, or even sit down for a nice lunch. The staff are pleasant and accommodating.

Recommendations: almond or oat milk cappuccino, black bean soup, any of the baked goods (except I'm not the hugest fan of the cinnamon/cardamom rolls - a bit on the tough side).

A fun touch for the young-at-heart are the Totoro (or other Ghibli) sugar cookies.

Finally, for those of you who rarely venture away from a Starbucks or may be unfamiliar with more authentic coffee culture (it's okay!), the macchiato is a PROPER macchiato - in other words it is tiny (a shot w/steamed milk), as it...

Liberty is just a few blocks away from my house and I love it. To get there I pass about eight other coffee shops but it’s worth it.Normally they have quite a bit of seating area inside and people are really good about moving after they’ve been there for a while / I never use a computer when I’m there but I’ve always been able to get a spot when I wanted people. People are friendly and dog friendly.

Food: This place has the best has quassants I’ve ever had in my life!!!! All of the pastries are incredible and super decadent they have some food but not a lot so I wouldn’t go there thinking you’re going to get an amazing sandwich that’s not the point of this place. I also think their coffee is incredible as well.

Staff:You see now this is an interesting one I don’t wanna stop particularly inviting, they don’t seem Very interested in making small talk. But Other then that they did their jobS very well. Even with rotating staff the coffee is still made exactly the same way and I love that. I would give them a 4.5 if I could because of this reason, but getting in at four instead of a five would not be the right move based on this one...

They absolutely nailed the cookie ($4) and the baked goods. The pizza looked amazing however as it was $8 for one regular slice, it was not worth it. One thing I will note is to NOT get the strawberry matcha (or regular matcha) or the London fog. It is straight up MILK for $6.50. You can also visibly tell from the color of the drink in the photo. I noted to the server there was no strawberry flavor in the matcha and he noted it was a natural sweetener and blamed it on me having a sweeter tooth than most people (I never mentioned sweetness being the problem). My friends also tried it and agreed it taste like strawberry let alone matcha. Overall, i would definitely come back for any of the baked stuff but would avoid the milky drinks.

Liberty Bakery and Cafe is a definite stop when on Main Street. I love the warmth and sweet smell when you first walk through the door. I'm especially happy that there is outdoor seating because I can bring my pup along. The staff are great because they will fill up a bowl for your dog. The location is good too because you can relax with a warm cup and people watch. We ordered lattes which were prepared well, just the right amount of foam. I love milk which is probably why I enjoy lattes and Liberty does it right. I can taste the coffee and the milk. We also ordered their lemon loaf and we were NOT disappointed, when they say lemon, they mean it! You can taste the citrus in EVERY bite! It paired quite nicely with our lattes.

Today afternoon my friend and I went to Liberty Bakery & Coffee on Main Street. The walls and the floor material were nice which made me feel back in the 20th century. Tables and Chairs could be better though. They have a lot of baking things which definitely look really delicious. We just ordered Latte, Americano and a cookie which tasted average. It could be way much better. They also could have more options of food. In addition, it closes at 4pm so we needed to leave at 4 (totally understandable) . This was not a problem (just writing this as a neutral observation
