The food is a hit or miss depending on the staff working. I work nearby so I have a general idea of whether or not I’ll get lower than McDonald’s standard.
I went through drive-thru tonight and wanted to add another item to my order that I forgot to mention. I was willing to wait in the designated area meant for this type of situation but the girl that was there told me to go back and line up again. It sucked. It was busy. I couldn’t understand why since there’s an area to wait but I went ahead and lined up again, reluctantly. It’s 1am at this point but busy due to eras tour (I guess?).
After wasting more time and gas, I got my order. Everything was decent until the point where it took them 10 or so minutes to give me my drink. I already have the meal, it’s just the drink that I need so I can finally leave. The girl in drive thru either got confused as to which drink was whose or she just doesn’t know how to operate the machine. After waiting that long for a drink (that was already made on the counter, they just needed to hand it to me), I was finally able to leave. They tried to charge me for a drink again thinking I’m ordering one, so clearly they can take new orders. My guess is the girl earlier was just too lazy to go outside if I’m assuming. A different staff in another section was the one who stepped up and showed some critical thinking and handed me my drink. I love wasting time and gas in this economy!!! Thanks McDonald’s marine drive! (Sarcasm).
Also, I’m this critical since it was actually one of the worst even considering it’s a drive-thru at a fast food and since I also worked in fast food when I was younger and this length of service time for drive-thru was/is generally unacceptable. I mean just hand me my drink please. Usually that’s the first thing they give. Super incompetent drive-thru...
Read moreDecided to do a breakfast drive-thru and order a bunch of items. When I received my order I was told to pull to the #1 waiting spot since my order was incomplete (was missing 2 breakfast burritos and double espresso)
I pull into the #1 waiting spot and a customer has parked his car there and I asked the window person where I should go and she had absolutely no answer for me. So I stayed there but I ended up blocking the driveway and got honked at so I ended up going around the drive thru again and talked to a McDonald's employee at the drive thru to let them know I'm still waiting for my order.
Finally went thru and saw that the person parked on #1 waiting spot got back into his car and was leaving and I asked him why did you park there? He said he didn't mean too but they forgot things in his order and he had to go in and get it.
So I finally parked on #1 waiting spot and I flagged a McDonald's employee and told him about my situation, that I am still waiting for my 2 breakfast burritos and double espresso.
He said he'll check on it, he came back and asked me again about my order and I repeated my order and even gave him my order # receipt.
15 minutes has passed and I decided this is taking too long so I left my car parked on #1 waiting spot, just like the other customer did. I went inside and asked for the manager and told him my situation, and it seemed like they completely forgot about my order.
He apologized and made my missing food right away.
I saw the McDonald's employee that I talked to while I was waiting and the #1 waiting spot and I asked him where is my order? He had no answer for me, I just felt forgotten at this point.
This was honestly 40mins into my worst drive-thru experience.
I expected better from McDonald's and almost embarrassed that I worked there in my teens. Completely...
Read moreThis location’s drive-through customer service is terrible. When you enter drive-through, no one says anything on the speaker unless you say 2 or 3 times then someone will get your order. Also for mobile order pick up they never say to go straight to the last window rather they just say go to the next window which is a waste of time since the cashier there just say go to the next one. But today, the cashier by the name of Saveeta was on the 2nd window and without any reason she asked what I ordered and what is my name. I have been ordering at this location in drive through for 9 years now even before this cashier Saveeta was even employed or came to Canada perhaps and she wanted to make herself useful by asking for order details even though it was a Mobile order and yet provided ridiculous customer service in the most awkward demeanour one can imagine from a McDonald’s worker. I can understand that this person must be a new immigrant or on a working permit but try to learn how to be polite and nice in the food service industry. If you are not happy with the employer just leave and try to pursue some other role that doesn’t involve serving customers. If Saveeta cashier was working for a restaurant, she will not be getting any tips form anyone that’s for sure. If I can make a request to the owner of this location, please train all your workers with just basic customer service skills and try to teach them how to be polite when serving customers even customers with very minimal interactions such as drive through which is not that difficult...
