The new renovation looks great. Ivan the manager is doing a great job here.
As for the corporation I’m disappointed. Your prices have inflated wayyyy too fast. It seems like every 6 months to 10 months prices are hiked. I question how other fast food corps can have better value and better prices than McCorp.
My family and huge extended families come to McDonald’s because of the memories we’ve had. When our mom use to pick us up after school in the elementary years everyday and there was a McDonald’s across the street. When our grandma had some money left over to take her all her grandchildren out for a mcd day. We would talk about anything and have big smiles on our faces. McDonald’s at that time was special and nostalgic. Over the years we’ve collected memorabilia like the bed sheets and shower curtains .Many more Memorabilia that I won’t even post online.
I’m looking at the current generation of families that cannot have these new memories without questioning their spending because of the menu prices. Every family I see coming in are not buying combos and I see mothers feeding their kids first then eating their left overs when they had enough…these are not mchappy memories.
I recently just got back from a trip from Washington state. It’s actually worse… even though they have the 1,2,3 dollar value items. Lots of signs saying bathrooms are for customers only. Not one single person I saw ordered a full combo. Not as many smiles dining.
This is a message to the McDonald’s Corp. Yes, you will still have customers. Some of the time who don’t have time, who are lazy, and who believe your French fries are the king. Yes you will still have customers who love your summertime dollar drinks and ice cream cones. Yes you will have people who are devoted to your brand all over the world… But as all that is going on you missed out on what’s going on now. That these families who cannot afford or have value from your brand is now creating new happier memories and getting better value from other fast food chains. Memorable moments with their grandparents and loved ones. Tailgate meet ups at other fast food joint parking lots. More affordability which means it’s not a once a week or month occurrence.
This is just my opinion and from what I’ve seen. I am the few that luckily can afford this brand. During lockdown I am an essential worker working LONG hours everyday and I literally bought this brand everyday for 2 years non stop because I had no time to pack a second lunch or make a proper coffee. If you don’t believe me ask management all along marine drive to marine way market crossing. Along with this location on knight. This brand gave me comfort in the most uncertain times. I and a few other in the drive thru also paid for the person behind us just to make their day happier. We didn’t have to but we followed a movement that was on social media. It created a mchappy memory…
Now my final question to the McDonald’s food corporation. Can you make better prices and value so that your customers who want to be like a second family would want to continue bringing generations to your brands consistently? Because they are making memories elsewhere. You haven’t been affordable nostalgia for a while in case you haven’t noticed.
Update after 2 weeks of posting. Even your coupon booklet isn’t reasonable...
Read moreI fully understand and respect the government-mandated policy around charging for paper bags, no complaints there. What is unacceptable is how McDonald’s has implemented this process, especially at your self-serve kiosks. The flow is cluttered with unnecessary prompts, donations, upsells, and vague screens, that confuse customers into clicking "no" to everything, including the bag selection. The user experience is poorly thought out and creates a high cognitive load for what should be a simple fast-food order.
Let’s be clear: McDonald’s used to provide paper bags for takeaway orders for years without issue. Now you’re charging for the same bags, and instead of clearly and respectfully informing customers, you’ve buried it in a frustrating interface and trained your staff to assume everything is for dine-in. If the customer doesn’t jump in fast enough to correct the order, the staff hands over the food in their usual rushed, impolite manner, no questions asked, no patience shown.
This isn’t just my observation. There are dozens of complaints online about this exact issue and the overall declining service quality at this location, and yet, McDonald’s seems completely indifferent. If this is how your brand adapts to environmental responsibility, by making customers feel like they’re being tricked or scolded for not clicking the "right" button, then you’ve missed the...
Read moreSo crowded.... There's usually a long lineup and I've never seen more than one cashier open. On a couple of occasions, and I stress that I've witnessed this ONLY once or twice, the young (secondary school students) staff have been too busy gossiping or horsing around right in front of you to notice that the fries are ready or that your burger has slid down the chute. Quite frustrating. On the positive side, however, when they do notice you, the cashiers are very happy & friendly while taking your order. The food itself is perfect & I've never had them mess up my order. The parking lot & outdoor area surrounding the restaurant is mostly free of trash & McDonald's wrappings & paper bags. This is a significant plus, as it demonstrates that McD's gives a damn about the community & the environment. Overall, I rate the place as slightly below average for a neighborhood Raunchy Ronnie's. I wish I could give half-points....I'd then rate it 2.5 stars out of 5. Since we cannot, I...
