IMPORTANT TO NOTE: They do not accept cash payment, at least not when I visited on March 16th!! From other reviews, it seems like they may have never accepted cash in the first place..

Mister is located right next to a Skytrain station, which makes it pretty convenient to get to! Inside, it’s relatively small, with two stools and a small table area in front of a large window, which means you’ll likely have to find other seating outside of the place if you want to sit and eat. Luckily, there is a wide area with trees and benches very close by, so if it’s not rainy you can definitely sit there.

While the liquid nitrogen is cool to see and watch, it does feel a bit gimmicky, especially once you look at the price. In my opinion, you’re definitely paying for part of the liquid nitrogen ice cream experience, and the price point makes Mister not an often, reoccurring treat.

The Oreo crust on the sandwich was very tasty, and the cone was crisp and delicious as well. Unfortunately, the ice cream itself was lacking in flavour. For the total cost of the ice cream + taxes, it would’ve been preferable if the ice cream was more distinct and strong. Instead, outside of the Oreo pieces/cone there wasn’t much of a taste present.

Texture-wise, it was fine, as the ice cream was relatively smooth- it’s just (again) the lack in flavour that dampened the experience. I don’t feel like the amount of money spent was justified, and for the machine to prompt for a tip on top of that left a somewhat bad feeling.

Personally, I don’t see myself returning unless it’s with a friend who hasn’t tried it yet and wants to. It’s not for me, and while it might not be outright bad ice cream, I personally believe it is overpriced for what it is. The more I think about it, the more I feel like money was wasted 🤷🏻‍♀️ In a city like Vancouver, your money can be better spent elsewhere, and for likely less than $17!

We got: $9 Double Oreo with Cone $7.5 Double Oreo Ice Cream...

If you're an ice cream enthusiast or simply in search of a delightful treat in Vancouver, Mister Artisan Ice Cream in Yaletown is a destination you cannot miss. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, and I can confidently say it’s a gem worth discovering.

The moment you step into Mister, you’re greeted by a clean, modern, and inviting ambiance. The minimalist decor, coupled with the friendly and enthusiastic staff, sets the stage for what promises to be an exceptional ice cream experience. The unique aspect of Mister is their use of liquid nitrogen to craft their ice creams, which not only adds an element of entertainment but also results in an incredibly smooth and creamy texture.

Among the various flavors on offer, the pineapple ice cream truly stands out. It’s simply to die for! The freshness and natural sweetness of the pineapple are captured perfectly, making each bite a burst of tropical delight. The flavor is both vibrant and refreshing, striking a perfect balance without being overly sweet. It's clear that high-quality ingredients are used, and the attention to detail in flavor creation is evident.

Beyond the pineapple, all the ice creams we tried were delicious. The richness of the flavors and the creamy consistency of the ice cream are consistent across the board, showcasing the expertise and passion behind the scenes. Whether you prefer classic flavors or are in the mood to experiment with something new, Mister has something to cater to every palate.

Overall, Mister Artisan Ice Cream is definitely a must-try. It’s more than just ice cream; it’s an experience that elevates a simple dessert into something truly special. The delicious flavors, particularly the unforgettable pineapple, make it worth visiting. If you find yourself in Yaletown, don’t miss the chance to indulge at Mister. It’s a sweet escape you’ll want to return to...

🥘: 10/10. Wow! I did not expect this during this trip to Vancouver! We are from Seattle and I thought we have great ice cream spots! But Mister is definitely mind blowing! We made a stop here just to get starbucks and decided to wait in line for almost one hour to get this ice cream because apparently this place is bomb! Me and my best friends got so many different ice creams! I got the earl gray ice cream bar and double dark chocolate ice cream! Literally nothing tops these two flavors! They are at the perfect sweetness and consistency, it did not melt right away when it enters your mouth, but give me enough time to enjoy the texture and the flavors of the ice cream. It was an experience! My friends got other flavors but honestly we all agreed the earl gray was the best out of all! 🧑🏻‍🍳: 8/10: Great service! Even though the line was never ending and the staff are all very energetic and nice to each customers that came through the door from all over the place to try this ice cream! They are all very professional and patient to tell us what is their favorite and explain how the menu works! Great team! 📍: 7/10: Located in one of the busiest area in Vancouver and I am not upset that I waited in line for so long! Because it was worth every single second of it. The place is designed very simple but with limited seating! I think it would be nice if they can have some instructions for waiting in line so the line will not be in the pedestrian’s way! We were luck to find parkings right away but I assumed it will be very hard to find parking during a busy weekend! Will definitely come back here in the future to try out their...
