Papa Days is a classic example of "don't judge a book by its cover" Pizza and Indian joint located by the Punjabi Market. Now, don't get me wrong, the outer and inner appearance of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. However, I've always been a firm believer that places that look a little run down generally have better tasting food. With this in mind, I'm happy to say that this was totally the case.
We had called in to order two of the "top of the line" pizzas. We opted for the House Special and the Butter Chicken pizza. Boy, were we happy when we got home and opened up the boxes. These pizzas looked amazing and were completely packed full of toppings.
The House Special has mushrooms, pepperoni, ham, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, pineapple, and the three cheese blend. This pizza was in that magical spot where it was in oven long enough to get some good crisp colour but not so long that all the veggies turn into mush. We were very happy with this pizza.
The Butter Chicken has just that - boneless butter chicken, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, butter sauce and the three cheese blend. If you've never had butter chicken, this pizza much open you up to the world of Indian cuisine. This pizza has a nice little bit of spice to it that makes it all the more delicious.
Both pizzas were cooked well. We often find that pizzas with this much topping generally will have a soggy middle. This wasn't the case, the pizza held up well and didn't flop when picked up.
We had also ordered the $11 take out special of butter chicken, rice, and naan. They asked for the spice level and we opted for medium. The butter chicken and sauce here is very comparable to that of Tandoori Kona. What does this mean? Well, it means that this is an amazing butter chicken! Though due to portion size and the amount of chicken, we'll still stick to Tandoori Kona. However, in a pinch, this will do just fine.
Papa Day's Pizza and Indian Cuisine provides a great take out experience. If you're looking for a way better alternative to your national chains, we'd highly recommend trying these guys out. At $14 per pizza (when you buy two of their top of the line pizzas), they can't be beat. Great pizza and even better...

Uber eats review! I got the butter chicken and and chicken tikka masala. they are both amazing! Give amazing portions for your buck with lots of flavours. Don’t ever change your recipe or portions because this is too amazing.
Butter chicken: this is my favourite out of the two. Lots of flavours, chicken and spices. Don’t forgot to ask for tomatoes, onions etc on the side. Also get their garlic naan! It matches so perfectly with this dish! Chicken was a bit dry, but I like to shred them into pieces. Love the amount of chicken
Chicken tikka masala: this is super delicious and have a more refreshing herb and spices taste to it. Has onions and peppers in the dish if you like more veggies in your dish.
Would definitely come here again and order! The best butter chicken I had so far in Vancouver and highly recommend for those to...
Read moreThis is like a hidden gem! The food was amazing and the service was great. I got the $12.50 pick up special for the rice, naan and curry. I was waiting to get food at KFC but the line was too long! I was walking around and decided to opt for this place instead as it said “best curry” on the sign. The service was quick, the food was fresh and you could tell the meats were marinaded in the curry due to the nice colour gradient from the protein. Super flavourful, the mild curry is basically non-spicy and everything was packed nicely and a good portion. Didn’t get a photo of the naan as I was too hungry and forgot… Would come back and...
