"I come here often, especially in the summer and spring when I like to walk my dog here and sit at an outdoor table while enjoying their coffee and breakfast. The cafe is small and beautiful, with lots of ivy green leaves snaking through the outside wall. Today was a freezing ,snowy day, but I visited again because I recently received a gift card from a friend. I tried to order their breakfast sandwich, but it was not available today. So, I decided to try the Caprese Sandwich and I was very disappointed. After only two bites, I couldn't eat it anymore because the thin, flavorless tomatoes and a few arugula leaves were overwhelmed by the salty cheese and pesto. One thing I'd like to mention is that it is normal for a cashier to let you know or give you a receipt when you use a gift card at a store, showing how much money is left on the card. However, I had to ask the staff and she had no idea at all. It took her a while to print out a receipt for me, and she looked at me like I was asking too much from her. I hope that this situation will be improved next time."

I am complaining about Prado FIR location only. I have nothing but blowback at this location when I order a Cortado. All I want is for it to be filled to the top of the to stay glass - that's it. Prado Hastings and Prado Fraser make it this way without issues, without crankiness, they just do it and it's beautiful. Prado Fir - constant problems. Today the barista refused to fill it to the top. Told me that's a flat white and dumped the cream into the sink when it could have gone into my glass. I don't understand the animosity toward a customer when the other locations are fabulous. 1st Picture - Prado Hastings Cortado which is perfect & gorgeous. 2nd Picture - Prado Fir Cortado which is ugly, almost undrinkable. I don't understand the lack of respect toward a customer when my request is so simple. Just do it. Fill it to the top with love and cream rather than getting into it with a Customer. Don't go to Fir.

Prado on Fir Street was my go-to spot back when I used to work nearby. Even after moving further away, I couldn’t resist coming back to revisit this charming café. My past memories of the coffee and service were a bit mixed, but I’ve always loved the inviting look and vibe of the store. This time, I was pleasantly surprised—the peppermint latte was done beautifully, so kudos to the new barista! The lady who took my order was very patient, which added to the positive experience. As for the cookie, it was a mixed bag—literally a mix of nuts, chocolate, and more. It’s something I always get out of habit, even though I’m not its biggest fan. I do hope they come up with new cookie options someday, especially since I’m a cookie enthusiast. Overall, a great visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Aesthetically this place is my favourite Prado coffee and the food has always been good so it maintains at least 2 stars. However, I am writing this review because of the service experience. I go here quite frequently (not anymore though), and not once have I ever had a friendly experience. The person taking the orders is always so robotic and never smiles or acknowledges your existence haha I wonder why they even bother asking for a tip.

And that is fine, because whatever I just won't tip and get on with my day, but yesterday was the second time I went in and ordered an almond milk latte and they gave me dairy milk. I got really sick but did not want to drive back from work and return it...so today when I went in and told them what happened so they don't do it again today, they gave me the blankest stare. Did not even apologize!!! If I worked there I would have offered at least to comp todays drink to make up for the error. because I HATE paying 6 dollars for a latte to not get what I want and get sick (lucky I am not vegan or this would have been also an ethical issue). Maybe I just have higher standards for customers service, or just humans in general hahah

Lastly, their stamp card idea is also annoying to me because who carries a sleeve cup with them every day, and then when you cut it into what could be more doable, it is still too thick to put in a normal card slot in a wallet. Seems like it creates more waste than what they are trying....

Ordered a mocha to stay for the patio, mentioned I would like it in a cup to stay Was made and in a to go cup . Barista seems frustrated and same with the Till Man.

The mocha spilled all over me and a gust of wind blew the to go cup and was extremely hot. Customers were so nice and helpful. Staff seem like they don’t want to be here.

I asked for a towel to clean myself and the table. service is rude and felt like I was reaching out for help. I also asked for another drink and the barista is explaining to me that she doesn’t give away free coffee. I mentioned. I asked to stay and also advised I’ll be sitting on the patio working and how the drink was just made and spilled all over and and proceeded to show her that I’m drenched in mocha.

Atmosphere is a vibe. But staff just seemed extremely unhappy and lacked communication within themselves. As I explained what happened to the till man and he told me to explain myself to the barista. As they are both near each other.

Come often to this cafe as I work and live in the area.

I hate leaving reviews but today was really unnecessary from a business standpoint and...

I've visited this coffee shop many times since it's across the street from where I live. I have to say, I notice the snooty attitudes from the service providers as they check the tip, every single time (unprofessional at best). I commonly leave a small tip ~5-10% (depending how much work I feel its taking to pour a coffee) for a $5.00 latte +/- baked good. Usually I receive a discharged look which doesnt bother me because I understand they feel deserving of a higher tip? However, this most recent visit was despicable behaviour. After seeing the tip of 10% on the bill, the front worker clearly checked it and gave me a horrible look. Then, proceeded to loudly talk about how " some cultures don't understand the concept of tipping and in this country it's expected to tip properly". Let me say, not only is this a racist comment to make but completely unacceptable. I am sorry but this coffee shop is not a restaurant and there is barely service provided that would constitute any higher " tips". I will not be returning even though I live right across the street and I will also recommend against to my...
