This is the first and only 5 star review place that i probably wont visit again. And ill tell u why.
Everytime i walked pass, i see tons of white folks in there. I did go in once, and i felt pretty strange lol as im not white. It is perfectly fine by me to have a place that is meant for the white crowd. In this day and age, there r tons of places that r more catered to many non white folks, in my opinion, it is cool to have a place that the white folks feel belonged also.
The pub has very nice vibe for the right people, very energetic, definitely an irish pub!
Putting politics aside, every community deserve to have their own spot to enjoy among themselves also. Im sure they would welcome me here too with open arms, but i just dont think i belong here, nor would i want to have this place become a color-diverse place. I love it the way it is now
All my white friends should check out this place. And to all the non white folks (myself included), im sure we have our own places too. Let them have this place for themselves. It's good to have places for white folks to just be white folks.
It's a strange review i know, im kinda a liberal myself also, but i dont see why cant the white folks having their own spot for once also. To those who say this place is too white, well it is, but can i say the african restaurant is too black also? I cant say that.
So if u feel uncomfortable going here, dont go, i personally feel strange to be in also, but i appreciate that this place exist for the white folks. Celebrating white culture should not be frown upon. Every culture should...
Read moreI would like to express my disappointment regarding a recent visit to the Shamrock Bar. I observed a concerning incident involving a staff member introduced himself as Bryan, which I believe warrants attention.
Upon arrival, my party and I were informed that the bar was at full capacity and we would need to wait. However, during our wait, I couldn't help but notice that Bryan seemed to allow several new white patrons to enter the bar without hesitation.
As time passed, it became evident that the bar was not as full as initially claimed. Despite a noticeable exodus of approximately 8-9 individuals from the establishment, he maintained that the bar was still at capacity, insisting that we would need to wait for a considerably larger number of people to depart.
The consistency of this pattern led me to question whether this treatment might be rooted in racial bias. The unequal treatment we received created an atmosphere of exclusion and left us feeling marginalized. This incident serves as a stark reminder that discrimination is still prevalent in...
Read moreI love it here. My friend lives around the corner & knows that as an Aussie, I enjoy an Irish bar as much as the next person. Started going somewhat regularly a few weeks back & hope to make it our 'local'. You can't beat a good Irish bar & the live music is fantastic. The staff are always really friendly & in a genuine way. Yesterday we went around 4pm, one of the bar guys immediately greeted us & offered to find us a table. Due to circumstances out of their control, one staff member Connor had to man the place by himself for the evening (besides the great woman who somehow manages the kitchen on her own). Connor did a brilliant job at handling everything over the busy night & did it calmly, with a smile on his face. He never showed any sign of being frazzled or impatient. Most nights we've been, we've seen the O'Neills play & they're so good. I didn't catch the name of the guy who played last night but he was great too! All in all, I recommend coming here for the atmosphere &...
