THE ASIAN WAITRESS ONLY FAVORS WHITE PEOPLE AND DEMAND TIPS RUDELY. (READ BELOW)
I'm an international student (asian) and my friend (mexican) used to order here a lot at lunch breaks since the food is good and the price is decent. However I feel like she doesn't like us and looks at us as if we disgust her. No idea why she would hate her own race tho.
One time we dine in and there were only us and a white family eating. She asked them if the food is good, and if they need more tea, but when it comes to us, NOTHING.
Since her attitude is bad and didn't really serve us other then placing the dish on the table, I didn't want to give her any tips, not to mention I am a student and have no income.
Then she said "Tip is not included." I said, "Yea." Then she goes on, "No tip? No tip?" as if I owe her money. Like how shameless can a person be?
I think she must have misunderstood how tipping works. If I feel like she deserves it, I will tip. But she had gave me nothing but mean looks. I gave her a few coins since she keeps pressuring me, but then I got angry so I went back and politely confronted her.
She claimed that she NEVER said the phrase "No tip" 2 times when my friend and I clearly heard it. She proceeds to apologise, not for being rude (she said she didn't mean it). She was apologising for ME MISUNDERSTANING HER. "I'm sorry but I really didn't say "no tip"." I ended the conversation saying "I will never eat here again," She said "Ok" and walked away. LOLOL
A few days later, a girl from the same school as mine told me this waitress had ask her for tips rudely as well. bruh.

Read moreIt's been awhile since I've been to this place and I was having a massive sushi craving at work so I googled sushi within my area and Sushi Dragon's menu was very well priced, especially when you don't want to break the bank for lunch, so I called them and made an order for pick up, which took about 15-20 minutes and then I waited 5 extra minutes once I arrived - which was pretty good, since their place was about 80% full of patrons dining in.
I had a hard time finding a more updated menu online since they don't have a website, so I took one of their take-out menus to post so you won't be surprised when you see a $3 difference from the menu prices posted online to their current prices.
I had gotten Box F for lunch - which was BBQ Eel on rice, 6 pc Salmon roll, 3pc Salmon Sashimi, 3pc Tuna Sashimi, Green Salad & Fruit (not sure if they forgot the fruit for my order, or they stopped providing fruit with their bento's). Total after taxes was $15.70, which isn't bad at all for sashimi.
Everything tasted fresh and the salmon was delicious. I'd definitely go...
Read moreThe portions are generous and fresh, and their prices are super reasonable. Two of us were stuffed on $30 worth of food. My fave sushi is salmon nigiri, and they give a very nice portion of salmon on each piece, with a good thick bite to the fish (as opposed to other places where the fish slice is so thin, it's barely distinguishable from the rice it's sitting on). They also make great negitoro rolls with more tuna than anywhere else I've been, and they don't mush it up in mayo (although I wouldn't mind a touch of it).
Everything we've tried, we've liked, and Sushi Dragon is now our go-to. We've abandoned the place we had been loyal to for 20 years because of their prices, where one Dynamite Combo will set you back $15 for 6 pieces of nigiri and 6 slices of a dynamite roll. An adequate dinnertime meal for 2 comes close to $50 with an average tip. Like I said, $30 at Sushi Dragon is more than enough for two, and the fish is on par with the best sushi restaurants in Vancouver.
