Came in for the first time tonight. Let's just start things off by saying that brunch for dinner is THE way to go. I had the Banana Brûle French Toast with a side of 4 bacon strips and some water. The water was fine, nothing fancy, just tap water which is my preference anyway. It was refilled often which was great. It's water, you can't go too wrong with water. The French Toast was the star of the show. I think it was 3 pieces of French toast topped with caramel and chocolate sauce, what seemed like a whole banana (not complaining) that was sliced in halves and then forced to form a cream brûle "crust" or brittle. Holy delicious. And then it was adorned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Now, I will start by saying I didn't think this scoop was big enough, BUT by the time I got into things and it melted down a bit it was clear that it was the right amount. It was delicious. The bacon is the only problem I had with my meal, and it wasn't even a big deal. The bacon was just greasier than I would have wanted. My fingers had a film of grease on them after handling a piece. But it was bacon, and it tasted like bacon, so how wrong could it really be. I sat out on the patio facing the mountains. It was a great view and there were a ton of people you could people-watch in both directions. It would be great for a couple, a group of friends, or even just by yourself. I absolutely would recommend this restaurant.

I have been here a couple of times and I like how the staff are so friendly and always smiling. The food is good...I find it a bit pricey but it's really worth the time, the taste, the atmosphere and how the servers treat me. What I had was a burger with smashed potatoes and I enjoyed it so much. The meat wasn't salty but full of flavor, not oily and very filling. And the potatoes were enough to have my burger with. I found out that there's happy hour and that's amazing so I can enjoy a couple of drinks as well. Haven't done that, but will do soon for sure. Since I had a late appointment I told the guy that I was going to be there for a while and they said it was ok which I appreciated very much cause I felt it was such a cozy place. If you are looking for a nice place for brunch or just after a long day from work, I really recommend you to try this place. You'll feel treated in a proper way, with the staff always smiling and the food very pleasant to have. This is not usually where I come because it's far from my place but I will definitely come back whenever I'm around.

We were in for a conference and this place was recommended to us by a local friend. We were very disappointed. The two of us were seated and waited almost 15 minutes before having to ask a server to send someone over to our table. We ordered breakfast and cappuccinos at the same time. To our surprise, the food was delivered to our table before the coffees arrived. We had to flag down a server to inquire about the coffees. Once they finally made it to our table, it was clear they were machine-made. For the wait and price-point, we expected proper cappuccinos. The food was moderately ok. The eggs were overdone and although we were told the hollandaise sauce was made in-house, it tasted like a package mix. Between the poor service, bad coffees (which we didn't finish) and just "ok" level food... we won't be back.

A Brunch Experience Worth Writing Home About: Hard Bean Brunch Company

Our Hawaiian cruise adventure began with an unexpected gem—the Hard Bean Brunch Company in Vancouver. A day before embarking on our 17-day journey, my husband Patrick and I sought a restaurant that could cater to my gluten-free needs. Little did we know, we were about to stumble into a brunch utopia.

From the first bite to the last, it was nothing short of spectacular. I indulged in their cauliflower burger served on a gluten-free bun, which was a delightful symphony of flavors and textures. Patrick, always the breakfast connoisseur, went for scrambled eggs paired with maple-blueberry sausage and home fries—each bite a savory revelation! The way the sweetness of the sausage danced with the saltiness of the eggs was, as Patrick declared, “to die for.”

But what truly set the Hard Bean Brunch Company apart was the people. Our server, Lee, brought a warmth and professionalism to the table that left a lasting impression. And oh, the atmosphere—imagine a space where every corner radiates good vibes, inviting you to linger just a little longer.

We loved it so much that we returned the next morning for breakfast before boarding our ship. And guess what? It was another home run! The presentation of the dishes was impeccable, every plate a work of culinary art. Alma, our server this time, had a genuine knack for making the experience special—her enthusiasm was infectious.

Would I recommend the Hard Bean Brunch Company? Absolutely. If you find yourself in Vancouver, don’t just stop by—stay, savor, and prepare for a brunch experience that might just redefine your expectations. Hard Bean Brunch Company isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an invitation to start your day on a...

Ok so I had the BEST time here.

  1. a brunch spot that actually let's you do resos and doesn't force line waits on you 2)the vibe was super cute and spacious inside
  2. I loved ALL of the staff. Front of house was super sweet, our server was fantastic we loved immediately. Shout out to Sherese for 12/10 service (hope it was Sherese that was the name on the bill).
  3. The team was so great about my allergies I have a nut, egg and sesame allergy and it was accommodated not problem. Our server even came out to double check for our food and another person came to check with the Chai latte I ordered. Even looking at the menu thry have so much variety for dietary restrictions like plant based or gluten free options.
  4. Food was fantastic even just my simple basic dish was soo good - sour dough was great and I loved the smash browns and blueberry sausage and it was all super affordable.

Literally the only thing was there was a bit of a wait to get food but genuinely don't even care the experience was absolutely excellent I will definitely be back and this is shooting up the list of favourite brunch spots. Thank you for providing such a quality experience from the whole...
