I missed this place twice trying to find it, but once I went in I was met with dim glowing lights, decorated walls and overall an awesome dark ambience. It's Halloween themed too which is a bonus. The area is not too big and the music was not too loud, in fact they were playing some pretty sick grungy music that I would have loved to catch the name of. The eats are very well priced and looked appealing, ranging from burritos to shareables. I enjoyed my cocktail and wish I could have gotten more. The service was amicable and really friendly! The bathroom was clean for my visit, and also had some artsy decorations. Overall, I really dig the style and design of this place. It stands out among the monotonous atmospheres of other run of the mill bars. I hope to bring more people here who would similarly appreciate cool sights and sounds.

Soo affordable and so fun to go to. I have come twice and enjoyed the inside and outside. Inside is low lighting, limited seating, nice spot for 2 people. The seating is mostly for two but can definitely work for four. Out doors there is some bar seating and a couple long picnic tables where 2-3 different groups can come to the same table. It is definitely popular and never empty but usually so far this is always somewhere available They have interesting liquors to try! Their cocktail menu is also mixed classics and fun stuff. Their food menu is so affordable and the portion is very good, honestly great place to bar hop. Just a note, I brought one friend who is sensitive to certain cheaper liquors and they struggled with their drink, no one else did.

My fav and best speakeasy in Vancouver serving delish cocktails late into the night. I agree its hard to find this spot but if you know to look for the redt light ul be fine. The minute you walk in I loved the vibe of this place. Spent 4 hours trying different cocktails and the bartender was a joy to chat with as well. We tried their chocolate old fashioned (not on the menu but the bartender made this one - amazing), cacao caliente, tsunami (my husbands fav - kept re-ordering this all night), trend setter (interesting take on espresso martini) & lavender gin fizz! We loved everything we ordered. Dint stay for food though but enjoyed our drinks. They have several tables here and I am sure it is packed on weekends. Highly recommend.

This evening Dec. 20th three of us dropped in and literally no one working there achnowledged us for a good ten mins or more. We finally asked for service and were given one menu to share between 3 people. We asked for another menu and the waitress Ruth said 'sure they're right here' annoyed and acting like we should know where tgey kerp their menus behind their counter? We laughed this off and decided the atmosphere was pretty rad. We ordered drinks then waited so long for service totake our order that we needed drink refills and so finally asked again at which point we got more drinks and ordered food. The food order was wrong so the cook and wait staff we arguing over us! We laughed this off. Then the waitress came to our table aggressively in out face and told us we didn't make that order as if it was our fault. Half the table had finished eating before the the other half got their order. They offered no compensation. Then the waitress comes with out bill, being fully charged for this bad service, we asked for a discount. She was ignorant enough to refuse to take the meal off the bill but give us a 10 percent off. Which equated to 5 dollars. This was the worst service I have ever received in Vancouver. I had to deal with being bullied, ignored and given the wrong order. BAD enough to write a review which I have never done. So disapointing since we were hoping to make it our new local dinner spot being only a block...

I’m just wondering is the experience always like this or it was a one off! First of all, you open the door and the musty odor knocks you out! Then you walk into the narrow bar which I could see has the potential to be a really cool speak easy, but all the used nasty glasses on the tables, disorganized bar and bartender made me have second thoughts…we decided to sit at the bar but zero acknowledgement from the bartender and after a few minutes, not so friendly person took our orders which took a while, and only one of the two drinks were served and the guy started checking his phone for like 5 minutes, so we asked about the other drink, he pointed to the half full glass a seat away from us and said “this is the drink, we dont have clean glasses and that’s why it’s half” - “the Red Narrow” cocktail which supposedly is served in a small glass, was served in a not so clean whiskey glass - Now cherry on the top : as we are trying to stay positive about the experience, a small roach fell from the ceiling right beside my drink that I had to toss away! Which realizing how indifferent the bar guy was, I didnt even bother telling him! By far, the worst bar experience in Vancouver and wayyyy overpriced for...

I left my scarf at the bar and called to inquire about it. The response I received was that I had to physically come to the bar to check for it. I explained that I lived far away, but was told that no one could check for me unless I was present. I was very frustrated with this lack of service.

Eventually, I went to the bar and asked a bartender to check the lost and found for my scarf. He gave me a disapproving look, but agreed to check. However, 15 minutes passed and he still hadn't checked. When I asked him about it, he said he was too busy. I noticed that there were only two staff members working on a busy Friday night, and as a result, tables were unattended and my margarita was poorly made.

After waiting for some time, the bartender finally checked for my scarf and told me it wasn't there. However, I was certain that it was, so I asked another staff member to check. She found it immediately. It was frustrating that I had to come all the way to the bar because no one could check over the phone, and then when I got there, the staff member who agreed to check took so long and didn't do...
